Currently, Chevko and Gavriil were relaxing, hiding from the Tyrannomon and Tortomon that roamed the area, their particular little hiding spot being a small cave that was just big enough the avatars could easily walk into. "Well, Gav. You have any ideas for today? It's actually the weekend for me, which means I can come online pretty easily." The Dracomon pondered the question, and found it was coming up pretty short on ideas, "Well, we could always make sure we avoid the wild Digimon out here. Don't want to wind up all the way back at Asuka City. Hm... We could explore the cave here? I think there's some tunnels in here. That'd be pretty cool to find something in one of the tunnels." The Dracomon's voice was still between male and female so it was difficult to make even an assumed gender, even if they technically didn't have one. "That sounds like an awesome idea, Gavriil," Chevko got up from her sitting position and looked around. No tunnels immediately seen, so they would have to double back and check it out there. "I'm pretty sure I saw a couple, they might lead to dead ends, but it'd be interesting to see what we might find, if anything," the Dragon Digimon commented with a nod. Chevko grinned to her partner and they set off, going back the way they came to look for some tunnels to explore, curious what they may find. \o/ Finally! It took forever! xD Credit to PhantomXO

He and Strabimon had been going around exploring the cave they found, thinking there might be something, like a treasure of sort, in an uncharted area but it was starting to look like that wasn't the case. "Looks like we wasted our time here. Sorry about that." It was Ronin's idea to explore the cave. A useless idea, apparently. Strabimon shook his head. "Oh, don't be, Ronin. We found out that the cave has nothing of value. Isn't that something good to learn?" It was Ronin's turn to shake his head. "You're such an optimist. Come on, let's not waste any more time here." They had only been walking around for a good ten minutes or so. Maybe they have simply been unlucky in picking directions because there were several other unchecked tunnels that could prove something was in the cave, but Ronin wasn't going to keep on trying. He wasn't playing the game so he could waste his time on a world that wasn't even real. He didn't have time to play all day like the rest. Weekends mean catching up on school work and coming to club practices. As they were making their way outside, Ronin and Strabimon bumped into another pair of tamer and Digimon. Ronin did very little to pause or greet them. "You better go back. There's nothing here," he told the two as he strolled past them without any other word.

There's nothing here," came the quick and blunt statement. At first Chevko was taken aback by the declaration of nothing being found in the cave system, then she whirled around and hurried to catch up with the mysterious other player, a young avatar, being trailed by a punk-looking dark Digimon. Her Dracomon trailed along in confusion as Chevko asked the other player, "Nothing here? Like... no random wandering mobs or hidden random items?" She was a bit downed by the declaration that there were no hidden treasures or anything, but a bit relieved that she didn't use up much of her weekend for it. "I heard nothing is in here anywhere? Hm. At least we didn't spend a lot of time to figure that out," Gavriil piped up, feeling that spending time with no result just wasn't cool at all. "Do you know of anyplace interesting we could explore?" the Dragon-type questioned the pair. /totally short Credit to PhantomXO

A tourist guide? A guide was so not a tourist guide. But he knew more than start that argument. "No," he said, breathing out heavily. "Look, if you want to go back and take a look, be my guest. You're not going to find anything cool tagging along with me." "Oh, Ronin!" Strabimon exclaimed, having been in deep thought. "You can show to them that waterfalls we saw!" For the third time, "No." Secretly, Ronin agreed with Strabimon. It was worth seeing but he didn't have a good experience with aquatic Digimon. They weren't strong enough and who knew what lied around in that area?

This kid certainly didn't seem to be in a good mood, did he ever smile? Dracomon was equally as taken aback by the clipped answer as it's partner was the first time and felt a tic start up in it's digital temple as the boy continued speaking, "No. Look, if you want to go back and take a look, be my guest." He seemed rather bored or apathetic, causing Chevko to sink further, "You're not going to find anything cool tagging along with me." Dracomon, on the other hand, was getting more frustrated with the other player and how difficult he was being. It had just started to huff in aggravation when it's violet partner piped up about a waterfall. Which, unsurprisingly, got shot down. Huffing, the Dragon muttered under it's breath something about whimpy kids then turned it's attention to it's own partner, "C'mon Chevko. This guy is obviously too uncool and whimpy for us. I'm sure we can find something else." Chevko was taken a bit aback at the brashness of her partner and did a double-take at it, "Gavriil! That was rude! You should apologize for saying that." She somewhat agreed with the statement, but felt it was something that should have been thought versus actually said. "I'm sure he's simply got more important things to do today." /totally shot Sorry if it's too harsh ;__; I really wanted to get something up and I'm still getting sleep out of my eyes. Emotions can always get ahead of people. What they say and what they do sometimes go unchecked. Such a faux pas does beyond than blur the original intent. It changes it completely. Each individual perspective that reviews it colors it an entirely different meaning. Ronin realized this sooner than Strabimon, who was more or less puzzled by the angry response. He was too used to his tamer's behavior. He was oblivious when it came to Ronin's sociability. Unbeknownst to him, it was the lack of emotional understanding that had saved Ronin in the most awkward times. Ronin's features were cleared of expressions. This was the best he could do to seem apologetic. "Umm..." Strabimon looked between Dracomon and Ronin anxiously. "Do you, Ronin?" "No." His answer was prompt but neutral. Strabimon's gaze fell intently on Dracomon. What did they do wrong? He disagreed with the Dracomon's opinion. It was the exact opposite. Ronin rarely complained, so rare that he was committing a worse felony for not saying anything. Strabimon wasn't sure what being "cool" mean. The first time he came with the word, Ronin mentioned something about colloquialism. Strabimon glanced at Ronin. Ronin wasn't moving a beat. "Well, there MIGHT be stuffs you can find," Strabimon said, trying to sound pacifying. "We didn't explore the entire cave. Too many tunnels. The waterfall we found was the highlight of our exploration but we didn't dare get too close. Ronin was worried we would get overpowered by the aquatic Digimon lying about..."

However, the former wasn't the case, the case of the matter was that Dracomon had decided to go ahead and open it's maw in impatience as Chevko could have potentially talked Ronin into showing them the waterfall given some conversation, but no. Dracomon had to go and open it's maw. A snort sounded at Chevko's demand of apology and it shook it's head, crossing it's claws, oblivious or uncaring of the other two's shock at it's outburst - most likely the former. "Pff. Apologize? Yeah right..." came a mutter, the Dragon attribute looking pointedly away from everyone. Chevko was fretting somewhat over her partner's attitude but paid attention to the other player and his partner. "Umm. Do you, Ronin?" asked the belted Digimon. It seemed to be rather confused by the entire situation at hand, and she didn't hold it against it one bit. "No." It was short. Prompt. Simple. The same exact thing they'd been hearing. "..." Chevko resisted the urge to stare at the other player, the tic on Gavriil's head getting a bit larger, but as the Strabimon spoke up again, she knew and appreciated it's trying. "Well, there might be stuff you can find... We didn't explore the entire cave; too many tunnels. The waterfall we found was the highlight of our exploration, but we didn't dare get too close." Chevko nodded as the Strabimon explained about the aquatic Digimon in that area. Opting to ignore Gavriil herself as it was still refusing to apologize (nor was it looking apologetic in any way), Chevko questioned an idea. "Well... Any idea what level that area is? Think we could team up and take one on together? I didn't think the mobs here would attack more than one, or at least in certain areas." /totally shot lawl. This seems like it could be interesting if I could keep with it! Credit to PhantomXO

Strabimon looked over at Ronin's direction but the ten-year-old promptly looked away, his arms moving to cross on top of each other. "It would be more convenient if we go together," Strabimon phrased with his typical eloquence. "Since Ronin doesn't really have any pressing matters to attend to, we can keep each other company. Could you do the invite?" he asked, looking at Chevko meaningfully. Ronin didn't like having to rely on Strabimon to talk for him while he kept quiet at the back like a stubborn little child - which they wouldn't have trouble believing considering his avatar's age. Ronin kept his eyes away from Chevko's Digimon, not wanting to aggravate Dracomon further. It was clear that he didn't like him. He would just steer away from making any contact with the Digimon as much as possible to keep them all out of trouble. As they were now about to operate as a group, they would really want to stay to something as close as "friends." He didn't want to let it affect Strabimon and Chevko who really hadn't done anything wrong. Still as silent as a mute, Ronin let the mediums take over.

notes: Awkward is always fun. Feel free to speed to that waterfall area by the way. I didn't really have anything in mind for it. Just winging it all throughout.

He's a staffer and he's being childish? She was fairly startled by this discovery and confused as to why he was being the way he was, but his partner certainly did make up for it. Looking back to the Strabimon, Chevko grinned at the request of the party invite and, pulling up the menu on her side to send the invitation, pondered how well her own partner would take to this party. Dracomon still wasn't too impressed itself with the other player and felt that it's partner was simply being a suck up. Pah. Mrgh. This is bound to be totally lame. Got a baby and a suck up. It's sulking only increased when it felt the channel open up tentatively for a party chat, Great. Now we're going to be babysitting. The Dragon simply rolled it's eyes and shook it's head upon everything settling in and only turned around when the invite was accepted, refusing to look at either one of the two. Beginning to get more upset with her partner, Chevko began fiddling with her avatar's hair and quietly sent a whisper to Ronin, I'm sorry about my partner's behavior, normally it's never like this. I'm not sure why it won't relax and relent. As the party got set up, she jabbed and murmured to her partner, "You need to be polite. Even if you don't like them, you could at least not act like a child. And don't even think about a snippy comeback or we can go watch the Digi Eggs all day." Gavriil's eyes went wide in anger and felt heat eminate from it's jaws for a few moments, What?! How dare--!! And then they were walking off without it as the party had been set up, Chevko focusing on the waterfall and exploration, the Dracomon having to hurry to catch up, fuming. Ohdear. Don't say anything stupid to make one's self feel even worse. He hadn't thought though that communication could still be telepathic. Ronin would still be forced to talk even if he didn't open his mouth. He silently looked at her, vaguely taking note that Chevko referred to her Digimon as an "it." Didn't she call it with a name? That was strange and almost contradictory. He thought giving nicknames was a sentimental trait, how people would treat Digimon as if they were a human being themselves. He treated Strabimon as such but hadn't thought of giving him a nickname. He didn't reply but he did give an affirming nod before turning away again. He considered saying something but by the time Ronin had decided, Chevko was speaking to her Digimon already. He sighed heavily. The temptation to escape and log off was increasing. "Ronin?" Strabimon asked in concern. "Let's go," he said unenthusiastically, walking ahead to lead the group.

notes: Tense walking time! We can arrive there at your post or in my next one. Or we could fight a quick Digimon battle. For now I left here so it doesn't seem so abrupt.

To say she was less than pleased with her partner was an understatement and was sorely tempted to be vindictive toward the Digimon, but fought against the feeling, so for now she would simply ignore the Digimon. Today was going to be a good day, yeah? Pff. It did have the potential to get better as the waterfall had promise of adventure, even though things didn't seem to be going very good as things currently stood. Soon they'd be at the waterfall and she'd push Dracomon in, they'd prolly get their asses kicked by something and Dracomon would have a few pinholes in it's ego. Yep, that sounded like the way things would go. "So, Ronin," she was not going to give up on getting actual words out of him, "did you see any mobs there at the waterfall? I haven't encountered water-based ones like Coelamon before, so... You know if they can get out of the water for a battle?" Chevko was genuinely curious as she hadn't even been to Shell Beach yet and that was relayed in her voice. Gavriil, for all it's gloom and sulking, perked up at the question - it was a good one but wasn't bound to say a single word after the previous events; it would just sit back and play follow the leader. I mean between Dracomon and Chev, but I can see a fight taking place to knock Dracomon on it's ass. *Nodnod.* I'll throw the fight to you regardless on it or make it a bad win where Dracomon is guilt-ridden or something. ooc: had laptop problem. now i have net problem...with just my laptop. posting in ipad

visibility decreased as they went on. light became thinner deeper inside the cave. it wasn't completely holed up as there were several cracks in the ceiling to let enough light for them to still see. the waterfalls weren't that far. ronin and strabimon had gotten there because the alternative appeared to be more dangerous. an intersection met them ahead and ronin went for the left. the other path lingered with something more forebidding. it was harder to see what might have been up ahead there.

he didn't turn around when he had been addressed. he kept looking forward as if the twisting depths of semi-darkness was more interesting than a girl.

"not really," he said. whoo, two words. that was an improvement.

strabimon was quick to jump back in theconversation. he was glad to discuss things further in order to make up for the earlier tension. though he still didn't fully comprehend what had happened, strabimon thought it was best they moved on.

"i've fought coelamon before. it was the first adult digimon i have fought. not here though - it was quite a long time ago." strabimon looked like he had a story to tell. he was going to foil chevko's plan to have ronin do the talking. "it was in shell beach. perhaps that's where you've fought yours too? it caught us quite by surprise. i was unprepared and lost badly." strabimon looked down, rubbing the back of his head subtly. he finished the line in his usual as-a-matter-of-fact tone but his sheepish smile made it clear his own admission made him feel a bit ashamed. "there might be coelamon ahead. did you win yours?"
