Lucca really should start to take his job seriously.

The moderator took a run for it- ten long meters- then jumped out onto the lake. He wore only shoes, hitting the ice and sliding across. He wobbled, back and forth, but managed to keep his balance as he laughed loudly and tried to see just how far across the lake he could make it before he slid to a halt. Lucca wore the widest grin stretched across his face. The game was supposed to be fun. Though he signed up for a game moderation job, he intended to have fun. He wasn't going to stand for all work and no play. Then again, Lucca wasn't about to be standing at all.

Leaning back just a few inches too far, the boy's feet gave out beneath him, sliding forward and into the air. This landed in painfully on his rear, a loud crack as he made contact with the ice. Lucca really hoped that was the ice breaking and not his tailbone. He yelped, sprawling back against the ice with his arms and legs spread. It was cold. But that didn't cross his mind. Instead, there was a loud whine from the pain that crept up his spine.

Five minutes. In five minutes, the Kudamon that sat at the side of the lake would leave the tamer to fend for himself. This was supposed to be a short break and now the human had gone ahead and hurt himself. Why did he always do this? The Digimon sighed loudly, his small paws rubbing at his temples. Why was it that he always felt like the babysitter any time they went anywhere together? Lucca was the human. Lucca was older too! He should learn to grow up. Kudamon felt like he did most of the moderator work anyways. He should be getting paid.

Okay so, she was supposed to be keeping an eye out for inconsistencies wasn't she? Yeah, that was in the job description if she was remembering it right. When the young woman wasn't totally immersed in her coding and tweaking and she actually went about playing the game she still felt like she should have been working a little. That awkward satellite being red made her... something of an example. Lee took a swipe at it absent-mindedly and forced herself to focus on her surroundings.

Cold as balls around here.

"Hey, hey Moni. Hey hey, tiny TV, hey," Her voice was quick, and precise in the words. Practiced so well, that one.

":?" The Digimon's screen lit with the emoticon as it looked up to it's partner.

Lee couldn't help but grin a little at the thing, whatever it really was. "Y'know you can use actual words sometimes. If you talk slow enough I might even actually understand them all. Cool, yeah?" Actually, Monimon did use words every once and a while, but it was an oddly quiet Digimon. From what Lee could tell with other partnered pairs there seemed to be a bit more in the way of conversation, not that she minded much considering her obvious cripple in the Japanese language.

":>" It seemed to nod a little and waggled about.

"Shoulda bought a coat before we came all the way out here. You're probably fine, but I'm not wearing nearly enough for this," Lee continued, deciding to ignore the fact that the Digimon had nothing but a face for her. "Maybe we should get out of here and..." Her voice swiftly trailed off as her eyes caught a glimpse of someone out on the ice lake. Didn't take long for that graceful figure to fall on their ass.

"Oi!' Lee shouted, waving her hands, "You okay out there?"

Monimon beeped to get Lee's attention and then a symbol appeared on it's screen. "=>"

"Huh," She looked over to where the Digimon was pointing and noticed another Digimon. "You that guy's partner?"

Kudamon's ears twitched, hearing the voice of a female. His head swiveled around, body coiling tighter around the pipe that was more or less a part of its body. His gaze fixed on the girl-and the little television who seemed to accompany her. "Correct. You'd do best to ignore Prince. He needs to learn from his mistakes," Kudamon stated, head turning to stare out across the lake toward the body that still lay there limply. Kudamon swore that, if Lucca just managed to kill himself, he wanted a smarter partner. Lucca had always sworn he was good at hunting and video games- but he hadn't proven it to the Digimon partner yet.

"Oi, I can here you!" the masculine voice finally called out from the middle of he lake. But Lucca still didn't lift his head. He felt like the back of his shirt might have started freezing to the icy surface. He became unsure if he could get up without having to dispose of clothing in the process. Slowly though, Lucca tried, body lifting and shirt peeling from the ice after a few tugs. "There we go..." the human whispered, under his breath, a hand running down his back to rest against his backside. Damn. His tailbone hurt as bad as it would in real life. Lucca was scared to know what death felt like in this game now.

A slight smirk slipped onto her face. Whoever the guy was, it seemed like he and his partner had a somewhat interesting dynamic. Prince, the Digimon had called him. Lee squinted a little out towards the lake, mumbling, "Is that so?" It was pretty funny to her still. From out on the lake he shouted back, but still hadn't actually got up or anything. A tumble like that in real like would have hurt on ice, so of course it hurt in the game. Had to love that fancy programmin', she thought with a grin.

"As you heard, your partner doesn't think I should pay ya any mind," Lee shouted to the guy, seeing him finally getting up, "But you need any help out there?" Feeling a little light about this whole encounter, Lee looked down to Monimon to see if it had any helpful input for the situation. Not so surprisingly, it did not. In fact the Digimon was somewhat absorbed with standing at the edge of the lake and sort of pushing it's little nubs at the ice like it might very well break it by thinking too hard. Weird little guy.

"Your partner the type to exasperate you or what?" Lee asked as she turned her attention back to the Kudamon. He seemed pretty different than her Digimon, that was for sure.

The Digimon took his time answering. He was watching his tamer out on the frozen water, only replying after several seconds of silence. "I suppose exasperate is a word you could use for it. Prince has the maturity of a twelve year old. Old enough to know what is going on, but too young to really give a care about it," Kudamon gave the short explanation, his little paws rubbing over his forehead. He felt like the adult of the duo, and he was only born recently when Prince joined the game. That didn't help Prince's maturity in the least, knowing that his Digimon was more responsible and grown up than he was.

There was a pop- or maybe a crack- as Prince rolled his shoulder blades back and rubbed at his neck. He would survive. Carefully, his arms extended, in hopes of keeping his balance, as he tried to turn himself on the ice to face the girl who was giving him the time of day to actually talk to him. "No need! Wait there. Just give me... uh... thirty secs," he called over, a hand raising with three fingers. He'd raise thirty, if he had that many. But it was taking longer than that. Baby steps were taken forward as Prince watched his feet, concentrating on keeping them under them instead of over his head.

There was a frustrated mumble from the holy Digimon, "This is going to take all day."
