Cameron Eplad The Character
personality
Closed Off - To most people, it's as if they don't exist to him. He has gone days without talking to people, instead opting to talk to himself or so it seems. If asked to participate in a social event, he'll ignore the invitation. However, recently since logging onto the game, his interest in the others around him has increased.. for better or worst.
A few cards short - He has been known to talk to things that aren't there. And he feels the strange compulsion to draw the images he sees inside of his head. Going so far as to deface a public area to get the urge out of his system. His pictures include grotesque creatures, strange land-scapes, and occasionally people...
Lack of Empathy - Cameron never really clicked with any one on an emotional level. As far as he is concerned no one's else's emotions should effect his own. Leading to some cases where he will be completely ignorant of some one's sorrow, and instead talk about his own accomplishments and success.
Obsessive - When he sets his mind on doing something, Cameron will do everything in his power to get it accomplished. Weither it is academic, physical, or a seemingly pointless goal, he will do it. Of course this isn't always a good thing, there have been several times in his life where Cameron has decided he wanted to hurt or cause trouble for some one, and he didn't stop untill his temporary wrath was satiated.
History
There was always something ... off about Cameron. When he was young he was a closed off child, very rarily talking to any one else. However, his parents often heard him talking to some one, something inside of his room. However, whenever they went to check, no one else was there. It was merely the child staring off at the wall, then he'd look over his shoulder back at them as if he wasn't doing anything. The strange behavior followed him outside of his child-hood into his school years. Other kids wouldn't talk to him, wouldn't even bother with him. The teachers referred to him as a special case, but as his grades were often top of the class they never really questioned him. As other kids were playing ball, or running around... he was either lost in a book or by himself talking to the air. Occasionally he would draw small murals over the walls of the school in chalk, often depciting strange monsters and scenes from what every one figured was what he saw inside of his head.
However, as he didn't pose an immediate threat to himself or others around him. They merely labeled him as strange, and let him do as he did. This continued into his high-school life, where he was often the subject of cruel jokes. One day he was confronted by several bullies. They started to push him around, that day he was expelled from the school for sending the children to the hospital with severe injuries. He'd taken out a knife and started to attack them, going so far as to carve his name into their sides. At this point he was brought in for a psych evaluation, he was released, and the charges were dropped by the parents of the children. His family started to become scared of him at this point. A year before graduation he moved out of his family's home and into the home of a William Skaggs. At the time it was purely by luck that this other family took him in. To show how greatful he was, he kept his activities confined to the room they had provided to him.
Eventually graduation rolled around, and Cameron passed with all Advanced Placement courses. He didn't attend the graduation ceremony and moved out of his friends home that day. Every inch of his walls were covered with archaic words and drawings, some strange language he seemed to have made on his own. An entire story was left behind in his room, but he never bothered to explain. It was easy for him to get a scholarship, and to start living on campus of a college. It was during his time on campus that he had heard about Digimon Online. He became obsessed with playing the game, but he lived in America. The game was only released in Japan. Cameron's goals were set however, and he didn't stop untill he had imported one of the Game's System ported to the local Post-Office. Under the guise of night he moved it into his room with the help of several shady characters. With his mind whirling, and his excitement bubbling over... he logged on for the first time.
