"We should have gone to the beach instead," Sugar Rush informed her digimon pointedly as she stood on the mostly dirt shoreline. She shuffed her foot through it, dislodging a bit of sand, but it wasn't anything like going to a more beach-like place would be. She supposed that was why it was called a cape. "Do digimon answer questions?" The girl looked down at her digimon, which bobbed up and down, pink shell wide open. "Do humans ask silly questions?" She asked it again, it turned it's yellow eyes up at her. For a moment she wasn't expecting it to say anything at all. "Of course they do." The surprise was apparent on her face.

there was a pause as ruki stared at the sand billowing about, diamond shards from renamon's tech disappearing within the coarse material. "we should try out your new digi form." ruki pondered, wondering if now was a good time. they needed to pratice, and renamon needed to get used to her newest form. important if they wanted to get to the top. "renamon, digivolve!" ruki commanded. renamon nodded, body staying still before there was nothing more than data. the data shaped itself, going from a yellow and white vulpine who stood upon two legs, to a digimon with the face of a woman, and a body of a horse. ruki saw her digimon, brand spanking new form, when the data finishing loading. "we're on our wa-" another pause as she heard a voice, turning around and narrowing her eyes.

the tamer looked familiar. it wasn't until she listened more to the voice did she recognize her. it was the tamer back from the city who had fallen upon her butt. sugar rush was her name. half annoyed at her 'training' being interrupted, ruki padded over towards the girl, renamon, now nefertimon, followed suit. "what brings you to the cape?" ruki asked, eyes trailing towards the mollask digimon and then back to sugar rush.

They had just entered the zone and Momo absent-mindedly waved at the greeting text, wishing it would stop doing that, as her Plant partner hurried ahead, excited to see the new area. It wasn't much, mainly just dirt paths and plants but it loved to explore new places. Soon, it hurried back and began to drag Momo along. "Easy, easy sweetie, I know," she laughed, hurrying haltingly after her partner. Floramon happily scurried about, inspecting everything, which was pretty much all the same thing and Momo couldn't help but be amused at the simple nature of her friend - if only all things could be as such. Shortly they came upon two players and their partners. The pink haired avatar made out placeholder images for them and as she came closer, she saw two young-looking avatars and a... "Adorable!" She was a bit too far out still for them to hear her and so she pointed at the clam-like Digimon and a white quadroped, causing it's profile to pop up. Sy.. Syakomon. Nef...ertimon. She was surprised to see a high level partner in the area and so sped up, maybe there was an event going on? Floramon happily led the way, whistling happily as it did so, still excited about the new zone and unaware of the players ahead of them. Then it was quickly aware as they got close enough to hear speech and skidded to a stop, humming worriedly, having been moving at a quick clip. Laughing, Momo quickly caught up after looking at the Digimon profiles and put her hands on it's shoulders, "I'm sorry, Flora's shy." It was a bit obvious as the plant-like Digimon tried to disappear behind her, "Is there an event going on or a miniboss..? You've got Nefertimon out, so I assume..."

“Lupo, it’s nice to see you again. I thought it would be neat to get out of the city a bit, and see some of the other areas in the game. I don’t want to go too far though, we wouldn’t last against any high level monsters… Is that the same digimon as before?” Sugar Rush couldn’t help but marvel at the strange creature she saw before her, it looked like a winged sphinx. Lion’s body, human’s head, and angelic wings lifting from its snowy bodice. She glanced down at her digimon and wondered if he – as she decided to identify her digimon partner – had any interesting forms like that.

She didn’t get a lot of time to converse with the red-head, however, because soon a pinkette appeared. This girl had a plant digimon with her; it was so cute the way it hid behind the girl. Sugar Rush’s avatar smiled welcomingly as she gave a gracious wave to the newcomer. “Gosh, I hope not! I don’t think I could stand up against one of those. I don’t want my digimon to die.”

nefertimon padded the ground with a hoof, unblinking eyes, even more intimidating in this form than her regular renamon form, stared at the tamer and digimon. it was only when more footsteps were heard that she slowly turned around while ruki was talking to sugar rush. "further on is more experience. but i understand what you mean." ruki nodded. she was one of those who went ahead, regardless of the danger level. "this is nefertimon, an armor evolution for renamon."

now it was her turn to look over at the newcomer. why did everyone have to assume all the time? "no, there are no minibosses or events. renamon and i needed the practice with her newest form." the worst thing that could happen was to fight something and not know the form you were fighting in. "if your digimon 'dies' then you and your digimon will respawn to the nearest inn or city. death isn't final for them." she knew that much, even if she hadn't had any experience with death in this game.

When she gained a form for Floramon, she would definitely test it out in an area before randomly using it in a battle - you had to get a feel for things in this game before you just jumped into it. And what the blond avatar said next absolutely fit the reasoning why: a knockout. Especially if one were nearly to their mob goal, or a miniboss if attempting to find one, it would be very aggravating to have that be your first test of the new form. As the young avatar explained the rules about "death" in this game, Momo idly checked out Floramon's abilities again, pondering what skill to next get for her partner. When she noticed the discussion was ended, Momo piped up as a curious Floramon slowly inched closer to Shakomon, "So, you haven't been playing very long, Sugar?" The pink haired avatar didn't have very much room to talk herself, but she and Floramon had faced several knock-out as it was. It was also obvious that the other player had been around for quite some already as she was obviously well-versed in the ways of thinking ahead. Momo didn't have much to say for the time being and so merely smiled as the Plant attribute shyly began to investigate the Nefertimon after dancing away from the clam-shelled Shakomon.

“Well I know that… but… Syakomon is just so cute. I don’t want to see him vanish even for a moment.” Sugar Rush gave a wistful look to her digimon, who was eyeing the shy FLORAMON. It didn’t seem to have an opinion. The blonde shook her head in response to the pinkette. “I haven’t played long at all; I just started a few days ago!” She smiled and shrugged her shoulders passively. Being new to the game wasn’t much of a big deal to her, except with the experiences – those were amazing. “I met Lupo on my first day, actually. You were so helpful, thank you again for your tips!”

When the FLORAMON got too close to Syakomon, it snapped it’s shell shut, peeking from two dark wholes – it’s gold eyes gleaming as it watched the digimon shift from itself to the large angelic-feline.

"does that mean you won't let syakomon digivolve?" ruki asked. part of it was a question, another part of it was teasing, although with ruki, it didn't exactly seem that way. "what about you, how long have you been playing?" ruki asked the pink haired tamer. if she was going to ask that question, expect it to be asked to the same person. "you're welcome. doesn't hurt to give out tips." now she gave a small smile. some tamers liked giving out tips that were wrong. ruki wasn't like that because it went against every instinct in her body. so helping out a new player was rather rewarding because she knew they'd do well.

nefertimon didn't want to be standing around, the heat made every part of her body feel like it was on fire, and with no breeze to cool it down, she was padding the ground with a hoof to try and bring up a small amount of cool air. so far she was getting used to the new form, and she knew she'd be fine if a battle erupted. yet, as the floramon got close to her, nefertimon stopped, careful not to crush the plant type digimon. slowly she extended her wings, allowing some shade to fall along the ground. all her movments were slow, making sure she didn't startle the shy floramon. she'd speak when she felt that floramon wouldn't run as soon as the words passed her lips.

ruki saw her partners expression and thought for a moment before nodding. a few more moments and she'd be able to revert back to her original form.

As the blond avatar responded playing only a few days and that the staff player opposite them had helped her out on her first day, the pink-haired avatar couldn't help but grin - memories from the first day in game was always the most exciting and wondrous. Keeping an eye on Flora, Momo watched and giggled as the timid Digimon jumped back in fright as Nefertimon's wing extended. "What about you, how long have you been playing?" The high school student turned her attention to the young-looking avatar and thought about the answer, "Mmm... About... a couple weeks or so now I believe." She giggled as Flora scurried back to hide behind her, the intimidation getting too great for it to handle, moaning as it did so. "It's okay, Flora. Nefertimon won't hurt you," she couldn't help but giggle as she rubbed it's yellow, helmeted head. Looking back to the other players, Momo continued, "Just around a couple of weeks now, I think. Haven't been able to get Flora to say a word in that time, either." The referred-to Digimon squeaked and blushed, murmuring embarrassedly. Blushing herself, she whispered to the two avatars, not wanting to embarrass or stress her partner further, Th-Though... I'm curious if... I can't help but worry it's a glitch and it'll only talk when it Digivolves... It's not said a word so far in these two weeks. Only sounds.

Yuko looked down at her feet, Syakomon just happened to be a little to her left so her eyes soon carried to him, the expression on her face was a little sad. "No, that's not it... As long as we don't fight really strong digimon, or can run away from battles that are too tough... we can still gain experience." It was true that she'd already gained a bit of experience, she had done battles with the lowest level digimon around and they'd progressed quite well - or so she was thinking. She didn't have much she could judge it on.

"Weeks is longer than me for sure." Sugar nodded. A moment later she would be startled by the whisper, her brown eyes blinked as she considered the words. She glanced at Lupo and then back to Momo.

Syakomon usually talks if I'm talking to him.

"but you'll never be at your full potential if you don't fight or simply run." ruki replied. "the experience won't be the same." she did have an idea though. "if you are facing a tough battle, send me a message. i can come by and help. you'll get the experience gained by it and you won't have to worry about your partner. of course, you'll be strong enough with time to fight on your own."

it wasn't often she spoke like this.

nefertimon didn't want to move, having obviously spooked the digimon by moving her wing. "your tamer is right. i will not hurt you." nefertimon spoke, gentle eyes watched the floral digimon. she backed away, allowing the digital stream to cover her bodice as she de-digivolved back to her renamon self.

ruki had to think when momo spoke, well it was a whisper, and the other digimon were unable to hear what they were saying. she glanced at renamon, wondering if the vulpine would be able to help get floramon to start talking, but until then, she did have her own advice she could give. well, more information than advice.

For some digimon, it can take them a bit before they start talking, or they will only talk in their next form. I wouldn't worry too much but I can check back at headquarters for you.

some digimon didn't like to talk; it wasn't uncommon for one to remain silent, but if it made the other tamer feel better, ruki would check in back at the magami staff headquarters. "i'm sorry if i startled you before floramon." renamon spoke to floramon as the three humans were whispering to one another. renamon hadn't mean to frighten the other digimon.

Warm, glowy feeling inside her at the display and she rubbed the yellow petals that made up it's helmet, poking together two of the points on it's flowery hands in embarrasment from being brought up in conversation and blushing a bit further as the Nefertimon spoke quietly to it, eyes staring intently at the ground. Syakomon usually talks if I'm talking to him. For some Digimon, it can take them a bit before they start talkin, or they will only talk in their next form. I wouldn't worry too much but I can back at headquarters for you. Green eyes narrowed in thought at Lupo's words, weighing her next whisper carfully as Renamon attempted contact with the Data attribute. Floramon whistled in embarrassment and shuffled to hide behind Momo who simply sidestepped it's attempt at hiding. An anxious whine met her ears as she did so, but ignored it, I. You could see about checking Flora out, it would honestly make me feel better. It's also got an odd scar of what seems to be miscoded information on it's face, but I know it won't reveal it with you two being strangers... Only when it's most comfortable will it open it's helmet to expose it's face, and that's almost never with others around. As the three conversed silently, Floramon whimpered and tugged on it's partner's jacket, confused as to why it wasn't getting it's usual attention to calm down. Eyes flicking to and watching the upright golden fox, Floramon hummed and moaned at the other, face pinching in uncertainty, still attempting to edge behind it's partner.
