It was just her luck. Sign into the game that everyone was talking about, going through the tutorial, and then getting dumped into the Muckland.

This, Carnivale thought with great irritation as she sent the ground beneath her feet and her surroundings a thoroughly disgusted glance. It wasn't an unreasonable reaction in her opinion, although she might have been overreacting to her location simply out of spite, for she had little to no love for this virtual reality. Not that she was in any position to complain, in all honesty. It had been her who had chosen to come here, after all, to find out why her mother had been so obsessed in staying here and spent every waking moment talking about this place.

A thought occurred to Carnivale that she might very well be meeting that woman here, but she was quick to dismiss it and forced herself to think positive. And to explore. ...Well, if she felt humored enough to start lugging herself around the mucky waters surrounding her. Which was not going to be anytime soon, thanks.

Instead, she turned her attention to the rather intimidating soldier-like dinosaur Digimon standing by her side. He - was it a he? It couldn't be, couldn't it? It was just data, but it looked like a he and Carnivale decided to call it thus, for now - returned her gaze flatly and rested his gun against his shoulder, one foot a-tapping as though impatient to get a move on.

Carnivale felt a shred of irritation, accompanied by amusement. "Those mind-readers make the strangest decisions when they give me a partner," she said softly, kneeling down to examine the dinosaur further. She could identify him well enough, having seen or heard people boast about this particular species before. "You are a commandramon, aren't you?"

No answer. A glare instead. Carnivale took it as "You already know; why do you even bother to ask?" and left it at that. She shrugged one shoulder, straightened, and glanced around them once more.

Where were they? Which path should they take, and where would this path lead to? Carnivale should really have consulted the instructional manual more before diving headlong into this place...and should've paid better attention to the tutorial, too. As it was...

She put a hand on her hip and appeared nonchalant to all the world as she declared, "We'll wait for someone to come along to ask."

All Commandramon did was snort at her, leaning back on his heels and leaning his big freaking gun against his shoulder...and did as she asked.

South Sector, always was a fun place, one of those one where he enjoyed taking of his shoes and running through the mud. Except the Agumon scolded him when he tried, so he was sulking a bit with the Agumon walking beside him. "I still don't see what the big deal is, it's just running through the mud," he crossed his arms with a pout. The Agumon glanced at him, and shook his head, "Because I said no. You need to learn to not be so reckless all the time."

"PBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT," was the male's response, childish as it may seem from someone his age. Not being reckless, where was the fun in that? Should he instead be someone that has too much of a stick up their ass, and can't have some fun? That would happen when pigs fly! Patamon didn't count either! Just in case though, he checked the air for a possible flying oinkmon, that would be bad for that to appear. Then the whole point of this would have been wasted in the first place.

"You're just too much of a worry-wort, what's the worst that could happen?" he asked, never one to worry about the consequences. His approach had always been to take the stand of 'what will be, will be' and he wasn't about to change his tune anything soon. It was then that he saw the woman, standing in the middle of the South Sector with a digimon besides her. Well, she was rather cute, he wondered if she was a new player to the game or not, well, didn't matter. He would go ahead and introduce himself, and with that, he moved at a quicker pace.

"Hello there, miss~. Lovely day, isn't it?" he grinned, the Agumon having had to move a bit faster to catch up. Panting behind him, as the man continued to talk to this woman, he would have some fun today. "Is there any particular reason you are just standing here?" he was hoping that she was a player and not an NPC. That would be rather hilarious though, leave it to him to flirt with an NPC, beware even digital women~.

...Well, now. It looked like the gods were listening to her after all. Or rather the blokes who ran this whole thing, more likely than not. Whichever one it was, Carnivale suddenly found herself in the company of someone else, who she really hoped was a player and not some NPC. It was weird enough having a virtual pet who could talk accompanying you everywhere in this why-so-real world. It would be even weirder to actually hold an intelligent, interactive conversation with another load of data.

Regardless, Carnivale took caution and turned fully to face the young man who was walking up to her, hand still on hip and with a neutral look on her face. It turned into something a bit more freckled with surprise and curiosity the closer he got to her.

And promptly turned into a frown the moment Carnivale caught onto what this guy was trying to do. Flirt with her? This hadn't happened since the olden days of first grade. She sort of accidentally punched that kid when he leaned a bit too close to her (self-defense instincts paired with a gigantic privacy bubble a pretty combination did not make) for comfort, and after he went to the nurse's nobody seemed particularly interested in talking to her like that anymore.

But obviously this guy knew nothing, because they'd just met. Carnivale's eyes looked from the stranger to the agumon next to him - one of the iconic digimons, wasn't it? - before glancing back to him again. She leaned her full weight on one leg and crossed her arms, quirking an eyebrow at his words. Carnivale wasn't really distasteful toward him, but just...a bit off-kilter with the thought of being flirted it.

It had really been too long, she thought even as she answered him. "No, there aren't any particular reason that I can think of." There was a tinge of snideness to her words. Not very nice, was she, this particular young woman? "And...I do not live near swarms, out in the real world, so forgive me for not being able to tell whether or not this classifies as a 'nice day' in this environment."

She glanced down at his feet, then at the muck all around him, then at her own "partner" who had not moved a single inch from where he'd been standing before these two arrived. His yellow eyes were following them, though, even as he'd begun to blend right in with the surroundings thanks to his special skin-thing. The way he was so still and quiet, in just a few more minutes give or take Commandramon would almost invisible.

"I will assume you are a player?" Carnivale asked, turning back to face this new arrival. There was curiosity in her face now, and it bled into her voice. She tilted her head, staring at him with amber eyes. "I will admit...I'm a bit lost here. I am quite new; could you kindly point us the way to somewhere that's a bit...drier than here?"

She lifted one hand and indicated their surroundings, although she didn't think he would need that to get what she was talking about. How he wasn't minding this jungle swamp was a mystery to her, but Carnivale herself certainly was not very happy at the moment.

This one was already fun, he could tell, his expression was a smile, but if he had a tail it would be wagging. Not only cause she was cute mind you, but because he had many a mischievous thoughts floating around in his head. Oh, it was such a good thing that no one could see inside there, it would probably cause so much trouble. That or it would scar people for life, that was a fifty-fifty chance there, that was the fun of his mind too.

When she spoke, his suspicions were only confirmed really, she WOULD be a fun one. Oh, this would be such an exciting day then, he could hardly contain his joy. "Well, then I hope you are at least having some fun doing that," he grinned, crossing his arms, though his was more in a cheerful manner. Then she mentioned about living in a swamp, and he tilted his head, "You don't need to live in a swamp to know it's a nice day." Just looking around and feeling the affects of the environment, well then again maybe he was weird. He enjoyed this world, and feeling all the different climates and such in the world.

The Commandramon, though turning invisible, would not really help in this situation. While he wasn't completely yet, the Agumon had been paying attention to what was going on. Pyre didn't want any surprises here, for all he knew this person could be a pker or whatever the humans called it.

"Yep, that I am. Maverick, sexiest play and the one that's gonna be the tamer king, and you?" he grinned widely, despite the boastful claim, he looked more like a kid than anything else in terms of mannerisms. Then she asked him to escort her to someplace drier, "Of course, m'lady. I will take you anywhere you'd like to go. There's a few places we could go, though I think you might want to go to Asuka City, right?" It was just a wild guess on his part, but he figured if she was new, she should stick around the main city.
