YOU'VE GOT THE MARK OF A BEAST
[/font][/div] Two large bloodshot eyes- that Hero really hoped were made from rubber and not real Digimon eyeballs- were soon slapped against the hand-like appendages that Lopmon called his ears. Hero didn't know what he was going for when he started the costume. But they hid behind the curtain nonetheless, despite Damien constantly leaving to go snatch up more materials. These fake eyes, for example. With glue, he plastered them to Lopmon's long, floppy ears, giving the Digimon the ability to turn her new pair of eyes at any flexible angle she pleased. If only they worked for real. She'd be unbeatable with the ability to see behind her with the twist of her ears.
"You can be my eyes! If I wear a hood and you sit behind my head, no one will even know you're there," a mumble came from the boy, low enough so that only his Digimon would hear. Unless some cruel eavesdropped sat outside his curtain. He would not tolerate someone cheating and stealing his plans!
Lopmon didn't care what her tamer planned to do. She was distracted, as usual, as she flailed her ears around, trying to find out how hard she could swing before they fell off. But they were glued on good. "Sticky!" she squealed in delight, crawling away from her tamer now to do her part! She was able to get her hands on the scissors, an eager grin stretched across her face as she grabbed for the black cloak that Hero had pulled together. Two wide slits were cut in the hood. She crawled under it, shoving her ears through the holes she made to make sure they were wide enough. Sure enough, her ears slipped right through, leaving only a pile of black cloth on the floor with two brown ears sticking out. It was perfect, she thought.
The small Digimon was hoisted up from the ground and set on Hero's shoulder. The human smiled wildly and whispered to her, "Hold on tight!" He didn't want her falling off. It would ruin the costume, and she just might get hurt. Hero pulled on the hood, allowing it to drape over the top half of his face. It covered his eyes and nose, making it look like the only eyes he had were the ones that were attached to Lopmon's ears, which were stuck straight up in the air at the time.
Hero had scrambled around in search of facepaint, finding a brown that was close enough to the color of Lopmon's skin. With it, he was able to color the visible half of his face, along with his neck, to match the color of Lopmon's ears. With black paint, he drew lines from the corners of his mouth, extending outwards and making his mouth look much larger than it really was. As though, if he opened it wide, he could fit an entire human head inside. The finishing touch to his face with a pair of white fangs, trying to fit them comfortably in his mouth. Hopefully these weren't used. Hero would hate to find out that diseases could be spread through the game.
One glance down at the clothes he wore beneath the cloak and Hero frowned. What even was he? He was covered from shoulders to toes now. With black gloves, combat boots and his usual attire, consisting of some baggy and dark brown cargo pants. Though, in his defense, the pants could nearly be the color of a Lopmon. A dark Lopmon. In fact, if anything, Hero felt like some crazy Lopmon evolution. One that wore clothes and was taller than a foot or two. Hero would call it Heromon. He'd hate to learn that the name was already taken. But he felt ready to present. Or, as ready as he'd ever be with the time he had.
