Zero frowned down at him and he frowned up at her. They hadn't spoken much to each other within the past two days she had played the game, other than staring at each other and coming to an understanding. It was strange how they had come together so easily with little conversation. They both enjoyed silence it seemed, and both were eager to get it.
She noticed his headband starting to slip off as a strong gust of wind blew the cold through their clothes. Zero reached over and caught the red ribbon, bending down to gently, but firmly tie it back around his forehead. Gaomon smiled up at her briefly and she returned the smile, patting his head gently. His golden eyes glittered in the clear sunlight of the day around them as reached out and gave him a light hug.
It felt good to have someone to console with, even if he wasn't real.
She pulled her warm wool, bright red coat closer around her form as she shivered in the cold. Her ballet flats tip toed her form across the streets and her legs were bashed with cold wind as it seeped through her tights. She shouldn't have picked that flowy tunic dress, even if it was cute. It just wasn't practical here. Gaomon clung close to her, gloved hand reaching up to clench hers briefly.
She spotted an inn ahead and steered them directly toward it, Gaomon bounding forward and politely opening the door for her. For a digimon, he sure was cultured in her opinion. When they got inside, she moved directly to a table near the roaring fireplace, slipping out of her coat and stretching her limbs. Gaomon smirked and took the chair across from her. She ordered a hot chocolate for each of them from the waiter, and then reclined again in her chair.
"So, where to from here?" Gaomon asked gruffly, as the waiter brought back their drinks. She paused, blowing her drink to cool it, before she took a small sip. "We'll probably head west. We need to begin some training along the way. Your cool with that, right?" she inquired of him softly, dark blue eyes glittering from the firelight. "Always."" he stated with smirk before he took a sip of his own hot chocolate.
