An inn; how quaint. It had been a very long time since 4.8.9 had actually set foot in one of those little cabins. Perhaps not as long as he thought, but the last he went on an overnight hunting trip. He no longer had time for hobbies to keep him away from work overnight, let alone days at a time. Even in the game, the most he got was an hour or so; it was more common for him to get ten minutes before something in the real world called him.

And it was always something, too. He never got a moment of peace, whether it be filling out papers or playing babysitter for his companion. The art installations took up some of his attention now, but those weren’t going on all the time either.

Catching a break today was some sort of miracle. His meeting had been pushes aside, and nothing else came in to take its place. 4.8.9 eyed the front of the forest inn, unsure of whether to actually enter or not. He didn’t need rest, but natural curiousity practically begged him to at least take a peak.

Having been well-acquainted with the online world for some time now, she knew there were always people about whose sole purpose was to make everyone else's day miserable. Of course, she'd grown to embrace the term 'white knight,' just not all of its implications. Nothing she did was out of a desire for pointless attention. It was just difficult for people to accept that someone might have a genuine love for humankind. But today was not like most days. It had been relatively calm at home for a while, likely because the mother had picked up a new job and was working strange hours. It left her desire for penitence in a bit of a soft smolder, not even half the raging pyre it normally was. It just wasn't in her today. And there was nothing she hated more than people who did things they didn't actually want to do. So she was wandering, Leormon ever faithful at her side. After a while though she had begun desiring a bit of company, and, upon seeing the inn and the strange man standing outside, decided to take a chance. Without a hesitation, she walked up and prodded him gently below the shoulder blade. "Excuse me. Are you waiting for someone or just confused?"

4.8.9’s Commandramon had always been the more aware of the two. Perhaps it was because he understood that this was a game, and that if he got hurt, he’d just be logged out and he could come right back in any time he wished. The Commandramon was stuck here, and so being the highly trained ‘soldier’ he was, he immediately raised his gun at any sort of noise.

Because of his trigger-happy tendencies, 4.8.9 ignored his digimon when he cocked his gun again, starting to grind his teeth and growl under his breath. “Oh, hush, Commandramon.” He patted the soldier’s head despite the growling, still raging a metal debate on whether he should just go in or not.

The Commandramon seemed to get more and more indignant, however, glaring at something behind them. It was only when he felt a slight prod at his shoulder did he glance over his shoulder. There was a girl; red haired, green eyed, just standing behind him and asking him why he was here. No wonder his digimon was so on edge.

“Oh, neither of those things.” Polite, with a small smile. “I was just wandering through and came upon the inn. May I ask, is there anybody running it, or is it just out here for a prop?”

Leormon, however, was the less discrete of the two and immediately began facing the Commandramon down. The creature absolutely would not make the first move without its partner's approval, but it could the baddest of the bad guys in the meantime. Head low and tail swishing carefully side to side, he seemed ready to tear the other Digimon apart. "Down," Vigilante murmured, and Leormon took a sitting position - though no other part of his posture changed. Forcing a small smile (which quickly vanished), she tried being friendly to the man: "Oh I have no idea. I just thought you might be looking to cause trouble." Without a laugh or a smile, it was impossible to tell if she was joking or not. Truth be told, Vigilante herself didn't know if she meant to be funny or not; it was just her uncontrollable blunt honesty. ooc: sorry for the late response heh. got bogged down with school.

4.8.9’s Commandramon was the protective sort. He rarely spoke at all, and when he did, it was to bark a warning or command. Of course, he never took a command from his own digimon, but it didn’t stop the beast from trying once in a while. He reached down to pat the dragon’s head absently as the girl spoke, but a small frown made its way to the corners of his lips. Trouble, she said?

He looked for a chuckle, perhaps a twinkle in her eyes telling him it was a joke, but there was none. Oh, so she thought he was here to make trouble, then? He didn’t look like the sort… at least, he didn’t think. ”Oh, no trouble. I’m just wandering and curious.” He kept his tone polite, even if he felt a little offended.
