CHERRYsixteen | female | player | whatever~! | momotaro hitomi The Character name;; hitomi momotaro nickname;; "hime", "cherry", momo. age;; sixteen gender;; female ethnicity;; japanese
personality;;
Cherry comes off as a shy and reserved person. one who is constantly worrying about everyone and everything. she lacks almost any back bone or a strong will in life, making her an easy target for bullies. she is a meek and timid thing- one who shows little confidence in herself or her abilities. And is nearly always intimidated by those who look scary to her, or have imposing attitudes. She's horribly shy and can often be seen hovering in the back of a room when around others, even in class.
Though still, she has some good qualities, she's a hard worker one who does her best to succeed even when it seems hopeless to others. she is a loving and caring person who expresses her kindness the best she can, may it be through small gifts or nice words. She may be a quiet, scared little thing- but she does her best. And that's all that matters in the end...right?
history;;
growing up in a small middle-class household. With an older sister and her parents, Hitomi was happy. She lived a simple life in Kyoto, Japan alongside her small but loving family. Everything was fine for the most part- though she began to notice that her parents were giving her elder sister more attention than her. She wasn't one to get jealous, really! She loved her sister too much to be a jealous of something s trivial! Or that's what she thought at the time...
As she got older, she began noticing that her sister was far more talented- far more GIFTED than she was. Her sister was always a popular girl. Pretty, sweet, and intelligent- who could hate her?! While Hitomi herself was quiet, soft-spoken, odd. Her sister was social, open, and proud. Hitomi who had always preferred being out of the spotlight could only watch as her sibling slowly gained the full attention of everyone around her.
By then Hitomi though she would be totally invisible when her sibling was around... And that was when she finally admitted she was jealous. It was a hard thing to accept, but she felt that she was right to be this way. Her sister who had everything and to everyone else Hitomi was just "Yukiko's little sister" or "That girl", or even the ever popular "Hey you!". She hated it... She had little friends due to her shy and meek personality, she was considered the oddball, the creepy girl in class due to her quiet nature.
She wanted it all to stop! So then- when she was standing on the edge of the bridge- the one thought that ran through her mind was... "would anyone miss me?" that's when she remembered, in her selfishness she forgot there were people in her life that DID care for her! A boy- who she considered a fellow outcast, named Trent. He was a foreigner from America and was often picked on due to his dyed hair and piercings. Something that wasn't liked in Japanese society. But he was always there for her... When she was picked on, or teased he was right there beside her, defending her... That memory stopped her from taking the plunge and ending her life.
Sadly her life turned worse when she was confronted by Trent saying he was moving back to America. Nearly in tears she asked him why he was leaving her. In which he said his uncle was gonna take care of him from now on and thus he had to move back to the states for him to do so. That day they spent the whole day together, and at the end of the day Trent told Hitomi about the new game coming out.
Called Digimon Online. And even though he would be in America and she in Japan, they could meet up in game on the Asuka Server where they could interact like the old days. After a tearful goodbye, a week after his departure she went to sign up and register, creating her avatar (that looked like her, so he would recognize her) and prepared to enter the game for the first time... Wondering if he would be in game.. waiting for her...
Only she would enter the game sorely disappointed...
He wasn't there! She got a call from uncle who said Trent's plane crashed, and that the boy had died in it... Heartbroken and feeling terrible with her life- Hitomi had thoughts of ending it all again. But the thought of escaping reality seemed all the more sweeter than ending her life. Thus she started playing DO as much as possible, after school, at night, anytime she could go over and play it. This would be her life for a whole month. And now- as she logs in for another run from reality, she wonders...
"Will...I always be alone?"
Who knows? Maybe things will change... One day...
