It had gone well over his head and yet something went wrong. Earlier today, he spent the entire afternoon period devising the image of his conquest of the Protocool Ruins. He was mentally prepared because that was the greatest, wisest thing to do in a virtual reality game. There were no physical limitations, only creative boundaries. With a little bit of a daring attitude (which Harry was in every bit), anything in possible in this world. But try as Harry would, his legs had refused to move for past thirty minutes.
Coronamon stifled a yawn.
"Keep it down, Coronamon!" Harry said. "You're ruining my focus."
Coronamon ducked his head and covered his mouth with his hand. He mouthed an apology Harry could not see as he closed his eyes in meditation.
Just need to relax and go for it, Harry told to himself. Something about this place must be truly challenging to frighten even the great SUPERDUDE! But that was totally part of Harry's plan. What else could a great man like him occupied? He ate challenges for breakfast, especially ancient, decrepit ruins deep inside a spider-infested forest. Something must be trying to ruin Harry. Was it the background sound effects? The constant hooting was very distracting. Too many noises lurked around yet Harry never saw an actual Digimon.
There was a saying about this. You must not fear what you cannot see! Or something like that. He must not let his five senses be easily fooled by these illusions.
Feeling his courage come back, Harry opened his eyes and ready to go. This was it. He could feel it. He had successfully blocked all of the game's attempts to intimidate him. He will not be swayed.
As if reading his mind, the universe decided to prove him wrong. He heard sounds from behind him within the trees and Harry ducked and screamed.
