Atronnineteen| female | player | Surprise me please! | yuka kinjo The Character --The Good Times--
Yuka Kinjo was born to a mother that works in marketing for a high-end clothing line. Her father works as a sound system special for a radio station. Her parents met through some of their mutual friends, and in her father's words it was 'love at first sight'. The family was always close in those early years, at least until the incident. Yuka's father was the creative but practical one, while her mother was the one who pushed upwards.
Both of Yuka's parents realized their daughter had a special talent with her voice early on. She won multiple singing contests throughout her childhood, ranging from local contests down at the mall to bigger contests in front of judges. Yuka's mom was all for having her daughter enter the spotlight as soon as an offer came up, her father felt otherwise. They'd seen what happened to other child stars that grew up without a solid base, he worried, perhaps needlessly, that their little girl would turn out that way if she went into the scene too early. It became the topic a series of hour long conversations and eventually her mom gave in. So despite offers to turn her into a star her parents were on the same page when they decided to wait until Yuka was old enough to make the choice herself.
Shortly after Yuka turned fourteen she entered yet another singing contest, while her parents wouldn't let her become a star just yet she still loved to sing. Someone recorded the contest with their phone, and her winning performance went viral on the internet. Agents began to call despite being turned down earlier. Mr. and Mrs. Kinjo recognized that this might be their daughter's last shot at fame, so the family sat down for a discussion. In the end, Yuka asked to be given the chance and her parents agreed.
The teenager was moved from her private school and was given multiple tutors so she could study while she worked. She released her first single when she turned fifteen, and then her first album close to her sixteenth birthday.
It was at her sweet sixteen that she met a foreign singer. The two quickly hit it off, and she was captivated by his charm and smile. The happy-go-lucky Yuka agreed to meet him later that month for a date. The date went surprisingly well at first, except for the unexpected paparazzi who stormed the restaurant as they were leaving.
A couple months later and her parents were leaving on their honeymoon. As the family had a set of what many would consider competent guards, Yuka's mother and father believed she would do just fine during the public relations event scheduled while they were away. After all, Yuka's manager would be with her all the day before and that morning to help prep her.
--The Incident--
Yuka and her manager made it safely to the public relations event, and things went off without a hitch. Yuka began feeling ill and it was decided to send her home earlier than planned. She left with her body guard and was placed under the care of her motherly housekeeper who whipped up some chicken noodle soup and after a call to her parents, sent her to bed.
Once in her room Yuka was glad to get to her room for some privacy. Her bed invited her to lay down and she curled up under her blankets. She was almost to sleep when she noticed a strange smell in her room and then she felt a sudden unconsciousness take her.
As Yuka had come home possibly ill, it wasn't thought unusual that she didn't poke her head out of her room for the rest of the day. She had no shortage of books, magazines, and games to amuse herself with despite having been ordered to her room. The housekeeper did check on her room before she left though, and seeing the star supposedly down for a nap with the lights dimmed and the shades drawn, left after doing a quick feel of the star's forehead. She noticed an odd smell but figured it was simply because Yuka was sick, despite being an idol the truth was she still human.
It was when the star didn't come down for breakfast, and the fact she had disappeared during the night that the housekeeper called the police and then her parents.
Yuka was found two days later, hungry and mildly dehydrated but unharmed physically from her captivity. The media was there as she was walked from the home of her captor by police, a blanket wrapped around her shoulders and tossed over her head to give her some measure of protection from anyone with a camera that might be chancing by.
--The Aftermath--
It became that the abduction had caused a personality shift in Yuka. She became quiet and nervous, and she began having difficulties speaking to people, especially people she didn't know. Throughout the trial of her abductor she kept quiet except when called to the stand. Even then when she talked about what he had said and done she was quiet, and she burst into tears multiple times.
The stalker had gone into the home disguised as a replacement for their usual pool maintenance man. It was theorized he had watched the family for months before striking. Yuka was able to confirm that he had been upstairs in her room when she reached there, and the maid and housekeeper were able to testify that he had caught wandering the house once, he had claimed to be lost. When the trial was over and done there was no cheering from the victim's group despite the penalty imposed, their lawyer said the family was just glad that it was over and done with.
Three months after the trial Yuka permanently quit working as an idol. Part of the reason stemmed from the fact that Yuka's singing voice was gone, despite seeing a psychiatrist it was suggested that psychological issues were to blame. Her parents were supportive of her, and she began work with her psychiatrist. However, when her seventeenth birthday came around it seemed as though Yuka had given up. She continued going to her psychiatrist but progress had all but ground to a halt. The former star became a shut-in.
While her parents had been supportive of her, her parents began to grow distant from each other as they blamed themselves and each other for the events that had led to her breakdown. There were multiple times when Yuka, who had taken to roaming the house at night, would pass by their bedroom and hear them yelling inside. This put a greater stress on the teenager, as she blamed herself for this. She suffered a nervous breakdown and was institutionalized for a year.
After she was released she began seeing her psychiatrist again, and this time there was progress. While she still had problems interacting with people, her parents noticed a marked difference. To further bolster her new progress her psychiatrist suggested a certain MMO as way for the former idol to interact with people with a degree of anonymity. So Yuka entered into the world of Digimon.
