Hi! I'm a relatively new player to DO, only been here about a week, and I was wanting to toss out the idea of a guild that would be geared toward helping newbies out. Learning the ropes, hwo to access various things, tips and tricks, things like that. So far it's not beyond an idea, but I figure it would be pretty neat. Those that wish they were Guides but don't have the activity to be Guides or the temperament required by the GMs and various staff to be considered real "Guides" due to a prickly exterior, but are willing to help others out.

Bump! Any takers? Anyone willing to lend a hand to those newbies? I'm tempted to make a guild regardless and run around as an awesome party of one. It'll have a totally cool name and everything!

This is a pretty good idea. Considering I could be classified as a new person myself, I wouldn't mind helping out with an guild like this, though chances are I probably won't be that much help. It would also be good if we were willing to create parties at certain days that these new players would join to try and hunt something, give them a feel for teamwork though I'm not much of a team player myself. If I find the username of my pal, I'll get her to consider this too.

Yay a response! I mean. *Cough.*

But having newbies in the guild is a good thing! Newbies can ask each other tips or what they found to be challenging when they first started out. Those players that have been around for much longer or reading up on the game during study hours, it's just not as fresh in their minds. Newbies to ask newbies I feel is a good idea, as long as bad info doesn't get passed around too horribly, hehe.

And the more the merrier! While it's just one person interested that's posted, I've had a few PMs about it from other players that were mildly curious about it as well. I've been tossing around a guild name too.. "Knights of" something. Thinking "Knights of Digimon Online", or KODO or maybe KDO for short.

Before I do make anything official, though, I'd like to get another post or two from other players, y'know?

Actually I was planning this before I started this game anyhow, it was a thing that my friend wanted to do. Perhaps I could help starting it up an everything as I got a pretty good idea about the rules and also the name, which i'm not spilling :3 C.A.K.E.S. So what'cha guys think?

I can't say I've come up with any rules other than no adult talk in chat, and keeping swears down or using other language to be so colorful =\

I'm personally fond of having "Knights" in the name somewhere... Think you could squeeze that in there somewhere? I've been rolling around a guild name for some time now and have gotten really partial to it.

Azure Knights, Crimson Knights K.O.D, I make this list of names go on forever. Well, the name would have to relate to our purpose and helping newbies seem rather small, so making it becoming a request guild seems much more broad. So I was thinking about Postal Knights. Postal as in posting an request and knights as in. . . well what you wanted ^u^

Hehe, true... You're so much more creative than I if you can think of so many things. I simply couldn't think beyond Knight of Digimon Online :(

DigiNewb Helpers. *Shot.* No. Not at all. I don't like this name. Ignore this sentence, it's not there. Postal Knights does sound nice :o But are they couriers or insane? =\

The Guide's Order? Guides of DigiWorld? Hm. That kind of makes it sound like we're all Guides though... Would that be misleading? I don't want it to sound like we're posing as GMs or a place where you get to act like one or where you can apply to be one ;__; *Shot again; overthinking this.*

Having Knights in the name makes me picture it like they're guardians, defenders, helpers and are willing to help, usually, but now I'm a bit stuck on throwing colors on it...

i think its really cool that you want to help new players i wanted to be a guyde but my parents said no at first i was disapointed becuase i realy like helping peple sepecially becuase this game is really gud but then i thought i could make it betterin my own way so it makes me happy some one also thinks like that i think knights are perfect maybe knihgts of justice or the royal knights just like in the anime exsept well be the good guys
