MOUSEtwenty-three | male | player | any | mitch kingston The CharacterThere are always the obvious points of people, and the more subtle ones. With Mitch, the most obvious point is his secluded nature. He enjoyed his space, silence and solitude. It wouldn't be wrong to call him a mute - most whom have known him for years never heard a single word from the boy. He likes it this way, and as of his last few years in life has told people ( rather, wrote or signed ) he was a mute. It made him feel more comfortable, more confident. Not that Mitch was insecure. He thinks little of insults and hardly takes anything to heart. That is, if he bothers to listen to people in the first place. Mitch does not enjoy drama, but of course, sometimes it can not be avoided. When such does happen, the boy is always honest. He see's lying as a pitiful excuse for those too frightened to face the truth.
Usually keeping an apathetic front towards most things, he always seems distant and disinterested. Which is usually true. Unless someone he cares for is involved, then emotions tend to surface. Ones of the possessive sort. If he feels like someone so trying to take away a friend, or get too close to his family [rather, that being his bachelor elder brother], the boy will not hide his distaste and anger for that person.
Of course, he has ways of dealing with this childish anger and his easily accumulated frustration. being a creative sort, the best way for the boy to express himself - and others to understand how he is feeling - is through the things he creates. Mitch enjoys drawing, on anything he can with anything he can. From pencils on paper, pens on his arms or sharpies to the walls. His elder brother allows him to express himself ( or rather, gave up after telling him for the fifth time to leave the darn walls alone ).
Having convinced his brother to do online schooling, and lacking any true friends besides those he knew through the internet, it was only a matter before he found himself involved in the games. Initially, he was brought into them by a 'penpal' of his, and joined to please the other, but now he has found a love for them himself. He finds them relaxing, and it keeps him from wandering the streets and causing trouble. Something his brother is quite thankful for. Not that he is really all that troubling.
In fact, when it comes to behavior wise, mitch is quite a good boy. He studies well, doesn't give in to the common vices of school life. He has made it to his finale year of school quite easily, but mostly due to having switched to online schooling during his junior high year. His brother did not mind much. Having lived with only each other for years, it was easier on the older to know where Mitch was when, and easier on Mitch since his brother often had to move due to work.
Why the boy tends to be so secluded - and so attached to family - would require peeking into his past. He grew up in what many would call a makeshift foster home, with only four older boys. He had known only them and their caretaker his entire life, and when one of the elder boys had moved out and gotten himself a stable job, he adopted Mitch as a little brother when he was barely fourteen. Things were not always easy for the pair, but Mitch was happier with his 'brother'. He trusted him, loved him, and didn't mind how often they had to move due to his brother's work.
Originally from England, they have moved roughly three times since becoming a real family. he third move having been two years ago to Japan. It the biggest move for the pair, but his brother adjusted quickly and did his best to help Mitch as well, since it seemed this job may be a steady spot for quite a while. In those two years, Mitch had studied and been taught to read Japanese, though still struggle speaking it - not that speak really matters for the selective mute boy in the first place. Still, he will admit to, even after two years, struggling with certain customs and changes.
