How far did a man and his Digimon have to walk to get their hands on more event Digimon? That snake pup had been creepy enough. They were really going all out on this Halloween event- picking only the creepiest Digimon to greet the tamers while scavenging for candy. So far, Umbra had only gotten his hands on three. Keramon had come so close to gobbling them all up, that he had to take them away. They were in his pocket now, along with his hand. He was just a little paranoid that someone would show up and try to snatch them away from him. If they did? He would be more than glad to cut their hands right off. On the other hand, Umbra would be more than happy to be the one doing the snitching.

They had come to a halt, Keramon swearing to his tamer that an event Digimon just had to be here in a graveyard. This is where monsters and ghosts could rise from the grave and attack. They had to be careful. Umbra wasn't too fond of the idea of a fight and would much rather answer a few riddles. He was good at those. But he believed his Keramon, for now, and found the most comfortable rock in his proximity to take a seat on. His eyes fixed on Keramon, who was digging his fingers into some fresh dirt, pulling it back and making a pile. But as this pile grew, a hole in the earth started. Keramon wondered what sorts of dead things he'd find in there. "Come out... skeletons... come... to me... Papa Keramon still loves all of you...""

Keramon squealed, both in horror and surprised. He was too easily caught off guard and, with a sword right in front of his face, there was no reason why he wouldn't be a little terrified. He expected someone to rise from the grave and grab for his face, not fly at him from above. Keramon scrambled back, enough that he was in the hole he'd dug. If he were dead, he could be saying he dug his own grave. But Keramon was more than sure that someone else was already twenty feet under this layer of earth.

The human was immediately on his feet, his face brightening at the appearance of another Digimon. Was this it? Was this his next event buddy? Judging by the riddle he recited, he felt like he was in luck. As mentioned previously in one of the other riddles, the one where the answer was lightning, Umbra had read his fair share of mythology- particularly the Roman variety. But was it that obvious? All he needed to hear was 'famine, plague and other woes' along with the knowing the person causing them was female. Was it that obvious? "Are we talking about Pandora's Box here?" Umbra surely hoped so. He was going to give himself a good smack if he had just analyzed this riddle in an entirely wrong way. Who else could have caused mankind these problems but Pandora?

He sheaths his sword, fixing his stance to something more polite.
He offers another riddle as a piece of candy falls to them.

Bury deep,

Still, Keramon was tense and afraid that the samurai would change his mind at any moment and strike again. Especially if Umbra were to get this wrong. He lifted his shaking fingers, using them to cover and pull at his lips, even chewing on his fingertips in worry. His eyes never left the human. Keramon was awful with riddles. He didn't even make an attempt to help out. This was all up to Umbra and Keramon just wanted the prize.

Umbra took a seat back on his rock, pulling both of his knees up till they pressed his chest. His hands held onto the toes of his shoes, keeping his feet from slipping off onto the ground. Think, Kenji. This was the smallest riddle yet, giving barely any information to him that he could pick from. But there had to be a big hint in there somewhere. Bury... stones... bones. Was it curiosity? Indeed, that was something you tried to hide, but it always got the better of you. Which could relate to the digging up bones part? But you didn't put your curiosity on a stone. Umbra bit at his lip, chewing on the tearing flesh as he thought long and hard. If he had ever heard this one before, he couldn't remember it. But maybe that was the point. Maybe digging through his mind to remember the answer was the only hint he needed, as if he were digging up the bones in his head. "I'm digging up the bones of my memories, aren't I...?" This made sense. More sense than curiosity. Memories were set in stone.

"Childhood..." Umbra murmured, his head turning as his gave a rather confused look. It had taken him at least ten seconds before he'd spoken the answer. It was obvious, wasn't it? But Umbra always second guessed himself, needing to know if he wasn't analyzing these riddles well enough. Youth, childhood, immaturity- all words for more or less the same thing. Only the latter could be find in many adults to this very day.

Umbra gave a firm nod of his head, confirming that he did indeed what to go with this answer. "Unless there's something from my childhood that I had and have forgotten, it has to be our childhood that only a child has forever." The young man had slid off the rock, approaching the samurai Digimon and getting down on one knee, reaching forward to pick up the two candies previously dropped. One more and he'd have reached a total of six. How many more would he need before he could consider himself done with this scavenger hunt?

He nods, indicating that it was the right answer, and vanishes.
The third candy is left on the ground for them to take.

Umbra had done it. Another round of candies completed. He grabbed the final off the ground, all of them dropping into his pocket alongside the ones from much earlier that day. Maybe it was time for bed now? But he wasn't sure how long he had left to gather more. He needed more. It was becoming an addiction. Then again, all Umbra ever wanted in any game was to win.

Almost, Umbra had left without his Digimon. He was about to hurry off to the closest area- and maybe as far as the one after that, if that's what it too to find another event Digimon- when he realized Keramon was still in that grave he'd dug for himself. He looked scared, all twelve of his legs shaking and bent in front of him. He must have realized that the event Digimon was a fire higher level than he was and wouldn't stand a chance if that sword had hit him. "Get up and hurry! This isn't over yet," Umbra snapped at his partner, despite the current smirk he wore. He grabbed for Kera's wrists, curling his fingers around them and pulling the creature from the hole. He refused to carry the virus to their next destination. But if Keramon wanted to be in the dirt so bad, he'd gladly drag him through it the entire way there.
