It had been an extremely long day for Bane by the time he signed onto Digimon Online. He'd spent most of the night picking locks and raiding through households before someone spotted him and alerted the authorities. It had been a good run though, and of course, he'd gotten away without anyone bringing him into jail. He figured it was only a matter of time before he either died of cancer or was caught by the police.

And it was with that thought in mind that he came onto the server at about six in the morning. He'd only returned home about an hour ago, brewed some coffee, and sat laid right down in the pod he'd purchased with all his stolen money to enter the game. Needless to say, he wasn't in his usual, cheerful mood. He needed badly to vent out his frustrations and forget about the harsh reality he was going to have to return to later this afternoon - oh and the pain. The pain.

Damn cancerous cells growing in his bones.... He really needed to go steal some more Vicodin. Another thing to put on his list of accomplishments for tomorrow. Rob a CVS Pharmacy.

Upon entering the Digital World, he admired his looks as usual, smirking at the claws he'd designed for scaling walls. Because why not put his skills as a thief to good use in a virtual reality as well? It wasn't hurting anyone, right?

"I'm just one helluva badass Bandit," he murmured to himself. Tsukaimon, his partner, flew down to him from his perch among one of the rooftops and landed on Bane's shoulder.

"You've got nothing on a Digimon like me though," the Virus type countered smoothly.

Bane gave a little scoff before walking about the streets, claws gleaming in the dim light of the morning. "Now, which sucker should we beat up?"

Seven am, a schedule goes on, an alarms rings and a young woman wakes up. Of course that doesn’t mean that she ignored the same alarm for the pass thirty minutes, but at least she awake now, accomplishment number one can be checked off. But her sleep eyes perked up realizing what she can do once she finished her morning ritual.

Anima quickly stepped downstairs and stopped in kitchen, all was silent, and dad was gone for work. She looked at the fridge a note read that she should have fun today, be safe and back in time for dinner. She tore the note from where it was resting behind a magnet and rushed out to their overly small garage. Their home was suppose to be ‘westernized’ for anyone from the Americas to feel more at home, sadly this garage only had enough room for one thing, the pod that would take her to that world.

The sun in DO was just the same as the one in real life, being over here was almost like a dream. Anima now known as Animus rocked back and forth on her heels waiting on her partner, Salamon. Of course, when the digimon was thought of, there it or as Animus liked to think she, walked up.

”Hey I was wondering when you would get here.” The dog looking digimon looked up to Animus. Animus chuckled and stooped down picking Salamon up and resting the pet digimon on her head.

“Of course, I wouldn’t want to miss a day with you.” Animus rubbed her hands over the soft fur, or so it felt, they’ve made this world so real it always took the teens breath away.

”So, what are we doing today?” Salamon looked down at her partner, who in returned slightly tilted her head.

“I believe whatever fate has in mind for us.” Animus grinned largely starting to walk around the crowded area, her hands in her short pockets taking in the scenery around her. “You know, thinking about it I should give you a nickname.” Salamon tilted her head to one side as Animus narrowed her head putting a hand under her chin in thought. She then snapped her fingers with her grin growing even larger. “How about Sandy?” The digimon looked up at the morning sky and shrugged.

”I can live with that name.”

Tena.m.inthereal world. Marcus was finshing a job application he had been working on. After he was done, Marcus wondered what he could do next while he waited for any news.

"hm, I guess I go see how Leonis(pronounce leo-nis) is doing", He thought with a smile, "maybe got into some fights while I was gone".

With that thought in his head, Marcus put on his shoes and head down stairs. As he passed the kitchen Mrs.Adam saw him and wondered where he was going.

"Hey, Marcus where are you heading to in such a rush", she asked as Marcus grab his keys from the entable in front of the door.

"Nowhere really just going to see Leonis", he said as if it the most natural thing in the world.

"Leonis? oh mean your digimon friend", Mrs.Adam said after a moment, "Well just make sure to be back before dinner and have fun"

Marcus gave her the thumbs up sign letting her know that he understood. After leaving the house, Marcus qiuckly headed the shed in the backyard that held his pod.

Moments Later, Shadking appear in Asuka City the "capitol" of Digimon Online. After looking around Shadking noticed his digimon had not greeted him at the gate like he always did and that worried him. Shadking was about to headed for the city when he hear a voice behind him he turned to see it was Leonis his Leormon.

"Hello boss how are you today", Leonis say in his usual cheery way making Marcus sigh in relief, "Hey Leonis minus the mini heart attack I'm fine and you?".

"Everything is ok I guess, so what do want to do" , He said wondering his tamer planned for the day.

Marcus smiled wildly and said, "Well we're going to see if anyone wants to fight and beat them good", and with that he began walking away with Leonis following suit.

(btw hope u guys dont mind me being here just thought I have to start somewhere tell to and I'll leave, ok?)

"Hey, should I be like... calling you something?" Bane asked absentmindedly as he continued to explore the city streets. Tsukaimon jumped off his shoulder and flew backwards in front of him, giving him a look of skepticism. "Yes, yes, I know I said that you're a bunch of programmed numbers but it seems natural to call a pet a name, even if they are just ones and zeros."

"Well genius, that's up to you isn't it?" the Digimon replied, tone nothing short of irate.

Bane shrugged in response, "What about-- oh hey look, not just one sucker, but two!" Tsukaimon groaned, rolled his eyes, but then looked ahead to where the two players, Marcus and Anima respectively, were walking. Without any warning, Bane went running over to the girl, blocking her path, while his Digimon cut off the boy.

"Hey! I'mma let you pass but first--"
"You gotta beat us in a fight!"

Bane winked at Anima before taking a few steps back, bringing his clawed hand up to scratch the back of his head, "It'll be fun!" he encouraged. And maybe while they're distracted with Tsukaimon here I can pickpocket 'em. Heheheh....

Both never knew what destiny had in story for them but here it came. Just moments ago, Sandy was chilling on top of Animus' head, enjoying the coming day. Sandy eyed the man who stopped the rhythm of her partners walking; she eyes him but looked across to see another pair also stopped. Her large blue eyes once more rested on the man before them, her eyes narrowed down in suspicion.

Animus on the other hand looked between the man and his digimon and back again. ”Wait, so you want a 2 on 1?” She crossed her arms, a smile spread as she raised a brow. ”That doesn’t sound very fair to the opponent.” Animus tilted her head watching Bane take a step back and gave a wink.

”Yeah, it really doesn’t.” Sandy spoke up, her intention were to keep her somewhat naïve partner from doing something stupid.

”Don’t be like that. These fights are for fun; maybe he has something up his sleeve.” Animus brought her digimon into her arms, both blue eyes pierced into each other until the light colored digimon sighed in defeat wiggling out of Animus’ arms and steady herself on the ground.

Animus looked from Sandy to the other pair a wide grin on her face. ”Let’s have fun.”

So many things happening, yet all of them were swept away when the time came for the one thing that many people had an interest in. The world of Digimon Online, it was the one place with so many possibilities and intricacies that it wasn't funny. Although, it was amazing to explore and experience, which is what brought Maverick here. Asuka City, the main city of Digimon Online where people popped into the game. Plus, it had a nice little gathering of all sorts of people, most of whom would probably be considered rivals of sorts for Maverick.

Of course, he was more interested in being friends with people, but rivals were important for one's growth. Especially in a game like this, someone to push you beyond your limits. Walking through the streets, out of the corner of his eye, he caught the sight of something quite interesting. A gathered group of people, that were standing around, he wondered what they were doing.

Heading that way, he found that they were all staring at each other, and he leaned forward, "What's goin' on here? Are you guys all forming a party to play or?" It would be a fun thing to see, maybe he could even join them if they were interested in having him around. He had heard the words two on one and unfair though, so this was likely not what he was thinking.

Turning towards the woman, he made a showy bow towards her, "Hello there, miss~. I am known as Maverick in this world, and what might your name be?" A playful tone to his voice, it would be fun if he could join up with her.

"Yo guys, I'm Maverick as I'm sure you heard, what are your guys names?" he grinned widely, he would likely be the most talkative of the group. Well, that's how the Agumon beside him saw it, "It is a pleasure to meet you all, I am Pyre."

Thishad to his lucky day two opponents right when he signs in, Shadking was about to accept the challenge the girl that was nearby said “Wait, so you want a 2 on 1?” “That doesn’t sound very fair to the opponent.”
“You know what the girl got a point”, he said smiling wildly, “but if you still want a fight then you can fight us, right Leonis”. The little lion took the cue and jumped next to his tamer with slight growl growing in his throat.

Then out of nowhere this guy appears named Maverick asks if we were making a party, but took back the question when he heard what the conversation was really about. Maverick then turns towards Animus, that’s her name, its a unique one at that, begun flirting with her.

“Oh my god, is he seriously flirting right unbelievable", Shad thought with a sigh, “I was hoping for a fight not be apart of the dating game”.

With that said Leonis looks up at his tamer and says “What’s the dating game?”.

Bane crossed his arms over his chest, Tsukaimon at last hovering back over to his tamer, "I was thinking of doing a free for all... one verse one verse one--" And that was when Maverik came onto the scene. "Verse one."

"What about two verse two, genius?" his partner suggested. Bane made a face at Tsukaimon at that. He wasn't really one to work together with people. No, he'd much rather have a mess of fighting while he went around and stole things from these suckers.

"Oh fine...." He closed his eyes and spun around a couple of times, pointing out a finger in front of him. It landed on Maverik. "Hey lookie here. Mister Casanova is gonna partner with me for this game of checkers. Whaddya say, bro? Or are you too smitten with your woman to fight against her?"

The other player agreed with, Animus rested her hands on her hips as they still agreed to fight as the little lion digimon growled; intimidation could win the battle but to her he was too adorable. Her attention then when back to the man, his thoughts were a free for all, and those always got messy and disorganized. Both seem to note a new player that came around, she turned her head and looked, blinking a few times.

But now another boy player came around, where was a female when you needed one? ”Yep, we’re having a battle.” She grinned at Maverick, ”I’m Animus, it’s nice to meet you.” Animus nodded and looked at the other two.

After the statements they had made, Animus swiftly turned her head blushing. “He’s just being chivalrous and a gentlemen; unlike you two.” She crossed her arms. ”How about we just get on this two versus two.”

She looked over at Mavrick and clapped her hands together. ”I never knew people could be so rude.” She mumbled towards him. ”I’m fine with being the player and adorable lion.” She chuckled with a growing grin.

Ah, it was always so much more fun in a group of people when they all made such funny assumptions. "This would only be the dating game, if you stood a chance against me~," he teased, a smirk and crossing his arms. Oh yeah, he went there, if they guy wanted to play with being a tough guy he could work it against him. It was a fight they were having then?

"Sounds fun, I plan to take the top spot though, so hope you all are ready," he grinned, his challenge declared, if they wanted to fight, he would give them a run for their money. Pyre glanced towards each of the digimon as well, watching each of them if this did turn into a fight.

"Exactly, sheesh, just cause you two bums are rude to people doesn't mean everyone will be," shaking his head, he nodded towards the girl. She seemed to be of similar mind to him, just cause he was a bit more polite with girls, meant he was instantly flirting? Please, he hadn't even begun to flirt.

Then the one guy started spinning in place, and pointed towards him, stating that they were one team. "Sure, that works for me. What, you think I don't know how to be serious? Man, talk about massively underestimating people," he smirked, patting Pyre, who was ready for the battle himself as well. If they wanted to underestimate these two, then Pyre would have to show their tenacity for victory.

Wellthisturned into a fine mess, all Shad wanted was a fight and he got one only it was with words. To make matters worst both Maverick and Animus thought that he was rude; Shadking was going to have to remedy this situation real quick.

“First of all I’m not I’m…”, before he could finish Leonis looked at his tamer with a look that said ‘you can rude sometimes’ with that Shad said a little angrier, “ok I’m rude, but that’s no excuse to mock me and besides fighting 101 than are no good manner.”

Leonis begun growling again, crouching, and slightly narrowed his eyes, He was just as ready to fight as Shadking, “Ya and don’t think that just because I’m small doesn’t mean I’ll be easily beaten” He said in a rougher voice then his usual cheery one.

Shadking smiled his usual wild smile, “Well said partner, besides you know the old saying: ‘It’s not size of the dog in the fight, it’s the size of the fight in the dog’ or lion in this case”, Then Shad turn towards Animus still smiling, “Oh my name is not ‘the player’ its Shadking, don’t you think its rude not asking your teammate his name”.

He couldn't help but laugh at the prospect of him being a gentleman. "Please, ma'am, I ain't anywhere close to gentlemanly and I don't give a rats ass if I'm ruder than a twelve year old boy. What I was doing was called teasing, honey. Teasing."

"Oh lord... can we get on with this?"

[/color] Tsukaimon mumbled. He flew over by his teammate, the Agumon, and gave the dinosaur an exasperated sigh. "Humans!"[/color]

Bane shrugged and offered Maverick a fist bump, "I only play to win, so you better be as good as you look man..." he murmured. A smirk crossed his face a moment later as he gestured to Shad and Animus, "Okay, let me humor you with manners... since you've got a woman there... ladies first~ Plus that little kitty seems like he's roaring for a fight-- HA!" I heard that facepalm, Smiff.

Animus looked down at the Leormon and chuckled, her attention then went up to Shadking and she gave a shrug. ”Well, Mav over there asked for names and you guys pounce him for his kindness.” She sighed turning to the other duo. ”So, I apologize Shad.” She smiled sympathetically to him, misunderstanding leads to chaos and it seemed like it already started. ”Can we get this started already.” Sandy looked at all of the players. ”Or all of you guys going to act like children.” ”Now, you’re being rude.” Animus narrowed her eyes, putting her hands on her hips in a huff. She looked at Shadking and smirked. ”Ready partner?”

Shrugging slightly, he wasn't too bothered by shadking's attempt at getting out of his own words. "I just returned a comment with a like kind," there was no point beating around the bush. If he wanted to try mocking Maverick, then he should be ready for the return of it. Just because he was carefree, didn't mean he was a pushover either, that was a silly assumption.

"If you're not gentlemanly though, why say ma'am?" the man pointed out to his temporary partner. It was a rather odd way to phrase that statement if he was trying to not be polite or not worrying about it. Shrugging, he put his arms behind his head, as the girl mentioned their own rudeness with excluding names, "Yeah, so nyah~." Never a man to be bothered to stooping to childish antics.

The little lion thing spoke up about not being taken lightly, "Sure thing, Simba. Let's get this show on the road then." Pyre stepped forward, and in front of his human, while the other were getting ready.

"I'm always good-looking and as good as I look," with a tap to Pyre's head, the Agumon made the first move. While the others had gotten ready, he was already forming the fireball in his mouth, "Baby Flame!' The small, but potent ball of fire streaked towards the lion digimon, the Agumon motioning for it to come and get some.

HearingBane’shorrible joke, Shadking began pinching the bridge of his nose, “Wow that was so lame I think my ears are bleeding”.

Then turned toward Animus returning her smirk with one of his our, “I was born ready for this”, it was at that moment Shad heard “Baby Flame!” and on instinct he roared his orders, “Leonis, get out of the way”, And as commanded the lion digimon side-jumped just the fireball flew by him; then ran at the dinosaur and attempted to slash it.

“I'm not going to lose this”, Leonis roared as he slashed his claw.
