[atrb=valign, top] A FALLING STAR FELL FROM YOUR HEART AND LANDED IN MY EYES Garuda didn't know why she was here for. The snow reflected the sunlight, causing her to get snow blindness once in a while. She pulled down her goggles that came with her avatar, glad that she chose something practical. Purawna trotted beside her, seemingly not being affected by the cold and asked its partner how far they were from civilization. Garuda wasn't sure of the answer.
She pulled out the digital map, trying to discern their surroundings. A few buttons and their location on the map was shown, and an arrow depicting where the nearest inn was popped out. She sighed; it did seem like a long walk. She exhaled, looking at the mist created by her breath. Kei and her always liked to do that, watching the mist. He used to tell her that little frost faeries were born when they did that -- she knew it didn't make sense but she never bothered to ask why.
If she didn't find him, she would never know.
There was no one here. She thought maybe he could have been around here. He always liked winter: making snow angels and snowmen. Kei used to give her his scarf when she got cold, tying it around her neck delicately. You're mine, he would say. She subconsciously pulled the sweater she wore tighter. "You doing okay, Pu?" The partner nodded determinedly, trudging through the snow.
It was then when a large Digimon bounced out from a nearby cave, teeth and claws long and unwieldly, drool splattering over the snow with a quiet hiss. Purawna stared at the beast, unwavering; Garuda however gasped at such a sight. Quickly, she pointed at it, and the data of the Digimon floated around it. Wait... it had a partner? Garuda packed a snowball in her hand, ready to launch. Was this an ambush?
"Be careful, Pu. Get ready what you've learned." Her partner nodded earnestly, standing behind the human's calf, preparing to launch itself at any time. Garuda minimized the map, remembering vaguely which direction to go to reach the inn. The beast roared, and somehow it sounded happy. This didn't reassure her at all -- but Garuda decided to play her card, the one that Kei told her she had.
She smiled gently and said, "Hello there, little one. Where's your tamer?" | [atrb=border,0,true][atrb=valign, top][atrb=style, width:300px, btable] ❝ tagged ❞ ❝ 000 words ❞ ◤
