Lang Hiroshima was born in Beijing, China to a Japanese father and a Chinese mother. He was born healthily, coming into the world crying his little lungs out. At a young age it was apparent that Lang loved to move. The moment he learned to crawl he was on the move, exploring every nook and cranny possible. When he learned to walk he became even more adventurous, often getting into things he wasn't allowed to (like his mother's makeup). When he was a toddler he was brought into kindergarten where he easily made friends.
Playing with the other kids he had a great time. However when it came to class he had a hard time sitting still. By the time he was in first grade it was apparent he had a hyper personality, practically bouncing in his seat in class. When he was in third grade however, his parents finally had enough of his hyperactive attitude and his father enrolled him in martial arts classes to teach his discipline and control.
He learned breathing exercises and meditation to calm his mind and spirit. It proved to be a partial success as he managed to focus more on things and was less likely to get overly excited at little things. When Lang was twelve his mother fell ill, they found out that she had breast cancer much to his horror. They tried their best to make her life comfortable, but it only had gotten worse, and by the time he was thirteen, she finally passed on.
His father unable to to handle living in China, moved back to Japan. Since the only reason he moved there was because she requested they live near her family. With his wife gone there was no longer a reason to stay. So Lang and his father packed their bags and moved to Japan. Lang knew a decent amount of Japanese due to his father speaking it constantly, but never really focused on the language.
Upon being brought into a public Japanese school he found himself having a hard time keeping up or understanding conversations due to his lack of understanding. His father suggested he study it more and even managed to buy him an online language training software. By the time he was fifteen he grasped the language far better than before.
Between his time studying he enrolled into martial arts classes again with the permission of his father, to cure some of the pain inside him from the loss of his mother. There he began hearing from the other students about the new game Digimon Online. He was curious, because despite not being a gigantic fan of gaming, he enjoyed the occasional fighting and adventure game.
The challenges sparked his fighter spirit. The prospect of having something to not only give him a challenge, but let him relax from life at the same time was tantalizing. Thus a few weeks after hearing about it, he went to the nearest shop and created his character before stepping into the digital world...
