LUPOsixteen(sixteen) | female | staff | light | makino ruki The Characterlupo translates to wolf, perfect for the being known as ruki. the lone wolf; cold, calculating, smart, brutal, oh yes. she cares little for you and what you stand for, knowing she cannot trust /anybody/ apart from herself. suffice to say she has very few friends, perhaps even zero, unable to tolerate their presence for very long. she would rather be playing digimon, taking out players during the infamous card game with aggressive tactics while glaring and smirking at the same time. at the end, when she has won and you've lost, walking away as if nothing can touch her. no kind words are offered, no better luck next time. she is the best and she damn well knows it.
you are nothing more than a pawn in her game of getting stronger. you do not matter in her eyes.
hard to tell when exactly she got this arrogance, this hate for the world and everything in it. her young years was fill of a happy child, one with a carefree view and kindness to all who appeared in her path.
but this has all changed. back then she had her father, her mother didn't try to interfere in her life as much and things were generally at peace. her father was her world, the youngster followed him everywhere. he promised he'd always be in her life, that he'd always be there for her, they had their own song and she would sing it as she played upon the swings in their backyard. back then ruki was naive, with a heart of warmth and happiness compared to today's heart of darkness, the ice heart. back then friends came easily to her, an easy going natured helped by her father. and then her father disappeared, leaving her mother and herself behind, a mother who had rapidly begun to ignore ruki's more tomboyish attutide, and trying to get the girl in a dress, and into the fashion industury. her mother disapproving of what ruki was becoming started to form a rift between them, furthered by the young girls' belief that it was her mother that drove dear daddy away: she was never told the truth behind her fathers disappearing act.
to further show her heart break, among her personality change, her tee-shirt became a symbol: upon it she printed a blue heart, broken, just like her own. her mother became annoying like a bug, and the idea of following her mother's footsteps makes her feel ill. she abhors fashion and couldn't care less about such matters, preferring the digimon card game rather than playing dress up. one person seems to understand, her grandmother, who has lived in the makino residence for a lengthy time now. grandma dear is worth ruki's time and energy, even if she can barely care enough to stop for a few minutes and speak to her. however, when words fail her, her expression tells all. the slight kindness and appreciation in her eyes, the curved lips of her smile. they all say what her words do not.
eventually she found out about digimon online(see next paragraph), and getting to the island was fairly easy. her mother protested, grandmother allowed her to go, and with the rich fortune they were living on money was no issue. as she started to play, she was graced with the presence of renamon as her digimon partner: and from that moment on, her quest to become the best went from the real world into the digimon online game. starting in asuka city, ruki made it known to renamon she expected nothing but the best from her. and in turn, they would become the best tamer and digimon they'd ever seen. in the real world she was known as the digimon queen after winning the tournament. and she vowed to extend the title within the game.
makino ruki was luckily enough given an invite for beta testing, from who, she had no idea. perhaps they saw her slaughtering others during the card tournament, or maybe it was her father...... regardless, she was invited and that was that.
to begin with, ruki was a normal player. with renamon at her heels, she was set to dominate. each digimon fell beneath her(well, the npc digimon that spawn for experience), trying to get stronger and stronger. her hopes were to fight other players, to show them she was the best tamer, the best player. each time she logged on, her and renamon were inseperable. one day ruki was given another chance of a lifetime: to become part of the staff as a global moderator. now, you're thinking say wha? she hates others, isn't able to get along with anyone etc etc, right? well that is true. but ruki also remained true to the rules, even when others were blatantly disregarding rules, ruki wasn't. she gave others advice whether they liked it(or wanted it), and it was clear she had a massive knowledge for digimon(thanks to the card game).
over the course of her time as a gm, ruki didn't abuse her power. one would think so but no. taking out rule breakers though was more fun than abusing her newfound power, and even so, she hardly made friends. why would she want to be a gm? why accept? easy. rule breakers, hackers, cheaters, whatever the case may be, some made the game easier, and that was a big no-no. ruki didn't want to be stronger by cheating, hard work was going to get her there and she didn't want a cheater to throw her off her 'throne.'
helping others wasn't exactly her forte, as when she did, her words came out with stings on the end. but she tried, even though she'd rather battle than talk, kick someone's butt than become friends. her gm status continued into the open stage of digimon online, where she was content to be where she was. for once. although she has been, itching to be more recognized within the game, she knows she needs to prove herself. and that should be easy because she is ruki the digimon queen!
what position is she vying for you may ask? easy to answer: organizer.
the basic personality to reiterate, makino ruki has the following traits, both good and bad, all in list form for ones ease of use.
stubborn anti-social bitter competitive independent loyal determined confident mature sassy speaks her mind tomboyish ruthless in battle angered easy(especially when she losing) cynical bit of a loner distant vulnerable tender actually has a heart
the sample reused and recycled xD ----------------------- "too easy."
words laced with disdain emitted from the teenagers jaw, eyes narrowed in thorough annoyance as she set her cards along her desk, fingers drawing circles against one of the cards backs. no one was good enough to beat her, at anything. cards, a battle of words, nothing, in her arrogance, her thoughts of being the best, it was no surprise where her thoughts turned. all of this silly little children's games were unimportant, no, not when she had something more important to get ready for. was it no surprise that signing up to help test the digimon online game was one of the first things she had done upon hearing? nothing could bet that. "i will be the best. i must be the best." ruki's hand pulled away from the littered cards, fingers curling into tight fists as determination washed across her features. she would be the best. and she would have the strongest digimon. and no-one, no-one would get in her way. digimon were just data, crushing them meant nothing more than becoming better. that wasn't too much to ask for was it? no, ruki needed a better challenge, not these dweebs who lose in a matter of seconds and minutes, a real challenge.
"ruki, dinner time!"
the annoying trill of her mothers voice hung in the air, the teenager winced, half closing her eyes. "coming mother." came her call. very soon she'd be able to head to the island to test the game, and be away from her demanding, fashion obsessed mother. pattering towards the sliding door, barefeet walked across hardwood floor, the hallway facing the expanse of land outside; a small pond, water as still as the night, reflected with brilliant sparks from the sunlight gleaming above. a soft sigh parted her lips as she stared, a sense of longing towards someone who long left her welled up, her father gone, poof like the summer wind. nails dug deeper intp the fleshy palms of her hands, berating herself for the lapse of weakness. turning her head and heel away from the outside, ruki marched towards the main area of the house, slipping inside with a feverant glare towards her mothers turned back, and a softer, more gentler stare to her grandmother who was sitting cross-legged at the table, back hunched over while she worked on something ruki didn't exactly bother to guess about, or go over and have a look. "oh ruki dear, i wish you'd wear something other than those dreadful jeans. this dress would bring out the color of your eyes." ruki glowered, ignoring her mother while her grandmother simply defended her, as usual. "oh leave her dear, let her wear what she feels comfortable." yes mother, leave her, ruki thought, thumb rubbing against her belt buckle in apt annoyance.
the sooner she was out and playing digimon online, the better. The RPername lupo[formerly zyoria] face claim digimon tamers, makino ruki other yes, putting notes here. she'd like to earn organizer during rp. it just didn't feel right, right at this time xD let me know if anything needs changing. i got annoyed with typing xD also, i did ask about the beta testing thing (; and that is all -flees-
