It couldn't help but feel amused by how different the connection between Garuda and her partner was as compared to it's relationship with Anono. The lady had a good point when she mentioned the fact that the two had only just met, but Lo already had a good bond mysteriously enough. Maybe she would be lucky enough to develop a good connection with her Digimon soon enough too, Lo thought with a wry smile. "You two will probably be super close in no time! Digimon are meant to work really closely with their Tamers after all, it's just how things are around here."

They were getting closer, Lopmon noted silently. The time that it would be able to converse with Garuda away from it's partner's ears was drawing to a close, so it would have to make the last bits worth it. "You're right, it is English! And it me--" Lo stopped for a moment when Anono shouted back at it. In response it quickly shouted back, "Don't be a big fat dumb Anono, you know I'm not trying to get a new partner!!" And it huffed a little, crossing it's arms.

But there was still something it was trying to tell Garuda and it perked back up and continued, "His name! It's a good one. The word means something special to him, I think. I... actually maybe I shouldn't tell you? Would it be rude of me to blurt it out like that?" Lopmon tugged at it's ears a little, confounded quite suddenly. "Errr maybe you should just ask Anono. It's a good one and it's probably his place to talk about it."

In the end, Lo didn't even know why he had chosen the name in the first place. The Digimon did have a strong feeling about it though, so she would let it be for now. Hopefully it wouldn't upset Garuda too much.

Kouki came to a stop before the inn. He was still feeling a few things, but he had enough time to calm himself a little. Not enough time to confidently turn and wait for the others to catch up to him, but enough to look once they did. Hopefully enough to banish the red from his face, though he couldn't be sure about that.

Garuda's ears perked up at that sentence; and in a way, it felt a little disappointing to her. The warmth that she felt in her arms, that little bundle of code that breathed and laughed like a living creature could -- were they programmed to love their tamers? She kept it inside her heart. That would be a question that only could be answered by the programmers of the game; and if ever got to know any of them, it was something she would ask. The Lopmon struggled with itself for a while; Garuda didn't show it but inside she was feeling a little impatient. What could this Digimon want to say that is so important? She huffed a little when it all ended in vain -- "Maybe you should just ask Anono." Garuda bit her lip; she wasn't the sort to pry, but it did seem important. Maybe his partner wanted her to ask because it was something important to him. But how? How would she put it across naturally? She was so absorbed in her thoughts that she almost collided with Anodyne -- Garuda had no idea that the boy had stopped in front of the inn already. Swiftly side-stepping, she managed to avoid crashing into him. Garuda then looked up at the building; it had a techno-vibe to it and she wondered if this theme would continue throughout the whole world. "Ain't it pretty?" she muttered to the Ebiburgermon, who simply nodded. Garuda hadn't looked at him yet. She didn't know how. Was he looking at her already? Her eyes focused right in front; she didn't even dare to use her peripheral vision in this case. Instead, she stammered, "Shall we enter?" She would try to slip in the question somehow later on. "Awkward Anono, awkward Anonooooo!" Lopmon whispered privately to it's partner when it came to a stop next to him. He still wasn't facing them though, looking instead towards the inn. "Why can'tcha look over here, awkward Anono?" Lo asked in whisper as it tugged at his shirt. It noticed that he didn't even realize Garuda almost running in to him. With a slight frown it also realized there seemed to be somethin heavy on the woman's mind causing her to almost bump in to him in the first place. Humans were weird.

"H-Hey what are you going on about? You really shouldn't tease me, you know. That's a terrible way to start off this relationship. Color me horrifically offended. Emotionally scarred even." As Kou whispered to Lo he managed to rally his strength enough to turn back towards the little party he had amassed. A quick glimpse to Garuda showed him she wasn't looking his way. "Oh yeah, let's do that," Kou responded to the woman with his usual pleasant expression.

Still a little stiff in his movements, a pinch awkward even, Kouki ducked into the building with his partner close on his heels. "This place is amazing. Everything is so realistic. Guess we'll figure out what it's like to consume things in the game too, yeah?" The young man started to speak and quickly began to ramble. Took conscious effort to stop himself from saying so much more with a collection of nervous chuckles strewn throughout.

"Don't forget to buy me something Anono, I want something too," The Digimon hopped at Kou and flopped it's ears around. The look on it's face was one of shear guilt-making cuteness.

Kou stared at the creature for a few seconds before sighing his submission, "Yeah I'll spend what little starter money I have to get you something, you little leach. It's gonna be something cheap though, you know! Maybe I'll find some flowers and make you a daisy chain crown instead. Hey, do they even have daisies in this game?"

The menu was placed right in front of them and she scanned through the items. Purawna whispered, "I think I can make better burgers than them," and Garuda grinned, replying, "I'm sure you can. Let's get other things then." She placed her finger on the menu and ran down the list of items. Gee, fake food wasn't cheap here; maybe because it was calorie-free? Did the pod inject us with some kind of food while we ate her? She wasn't sure; these were the things she had to find out. "I want the chocolate milkshake, Ga!" "Sure, Pu." She tilted her head left and right, looking at the boy. "My English isn't so good, but doesn't Anodyne mean something?" She tried to sound like she thought about it randomly, not at all because the Lopmon had told her to ask. She cleared her throat again, "And what do you think of those crests that we had got?" She looked at the boy and thought about how hard he had tried to help her. Her insides twisted at her. Could it be friendship? Maybe reliability? Garuda couldn't guess. Purawna stood up at the table, then waved at one of the Tailmon; Garuda patted it on the shoulder and whispered, "Hold on, Pu. We aren't sure if they are done choosing." MADE BY CYANIDE CANDY ✖

Kou couldn't help but keep sending wayward glances towards Lopmon, as if worried it might start blabbing on something embarrassing. The more he kept looking though, the more he felt himself fretting over what was surely nothing. Some vicious cycle of unnecessary social anxiety- haaa... that was nothing to get all bent out of shape over. "After you," The young man gestured for Lo to sit before him, adding in a quick sharp glance for the Digimon to intemperate for itself.

Of course Lopmon made no indication that it understood Kouki, just settled into it's seat and swiped up a menu to wave at it's partner's face once he too settled down. "Yes, you want something I know!" Kou grumbled as he swiped the menu from his partner. As the young man began glancing things over, and grimacing at prices internally, he almost didn't realize he was being spoken to. What Garuda was asking him about even made him forget he couldn't look her in the eye earlier.

Anodyne. A slight smile graced his face as he thought about what she was asking. Kouki replied, but he did so at his own pace, "Yeah, it does mean something actually. I have to admit, I didn't know the word until I was specifically looking for something to call myself in this place, but now it's possibly my favorite word." It was peculiar, but he felt almost a little silly that he did not have some more brilliant reason for the name- yet at the same time it didn't make the word any less important to him.

"Anodyne means anything that relieves distress or pain. A lovely intention, right?" He smiled a little then continued, "But... I find it interesting that my name, and my crest seemed to tie together rather well. I apparently have Light. Hah, it paints me in a very positive way though. Perhaps too positive, if you ask me." Kouki put the menu down and glanced with a rather serious look in his eyes to Garuda. He wondered about her, what motivated her with her username and what exactly her crest was.

"What about you though, Garuda?"
