They were done. The victors stood victorious and they could feel pride in the way they'd worked so smoothly together, like well oiled machine that didn't need words to tell the parts what to do. It was a little unreal but Needle was kinda grateful for that. It gave her an excuse for the way her breath was only a tad faster than normal, a reason why she was standing, leaning really, so far forwards her toes were sunk farther into the sand than her heels. As these facts became aware and her partner gave a respectful nod and congratulations to the other digimon she slowly pulled herself back. She readjusted her posture, brushed some sand off her shirt, ran a hand through her hair. Simple gestures, small ones that were performed in sequence and took up the time between the realization of victory and for the other players to make their moves or words. Her eyes caught the back of the retreating player, and she was surprised there had been no outburst. She almost wanted a fight, something to act as desert after the fight. Instead she cupped a hand around her mouth and called after her. "Thanks for not bein' useless!" Her hand dropped to her side and she was half-amused by her own double-edged compliment, uncaring at that moment of what others thought. It was the kind of thing she'd say to the gang and it was familiar and she was amused enough to stare at the retreating figure's back long enough to grab her name and the funny little symbol that went with it. She'd remember the girl. Then the Tamer who's Digimon had spent so much of the fight taking the brunt of the assault was talking to her and she turned to face him more even, crackin' a grin as apparently he either hadn't heard, or maybe just hadn't paid attention, to what she said. "Alright. I'll warn ya I ain't the squishy kind of friend tho'." Her voice was full of the broken, mutilated words that was her informal habit. "I'd be more interested in a sparring partner, to be quite honest." And then Gizamon was at her side and he cleared his throat and Needle checked the time then swore, the words coming out as a harsh noise that didn't sound like anything but a censor. Her fingers flicked open her menu as she shot Maverick an apologetic look. "Late, 'bye." And then she was gone and her frog too. She'd remember his name though, and send him a request later.
