Even the teeniest, tiniest bit of experience with any sort of game would probably be more help then Noir. What little Noir knew of video games, he knew from bad TV shows. TV, he had been informed, was never actually accurate about things like that. They always got computers wrong. Of course, no one person had informed him of that - he'd seen a documentary special about how TV got it wrong, and it seemed more accurate to him then the show itself. It was logical to him that they'd get it wrong. They didn't need accuracy.

"Well, that would be better than me." He didn't have use of his hands, so most games were out. Some games had been set up to be played by tongue movement for those who were paraplegic, but Noir was a step above even that. There simply wasn't enough options with ones eyelids to make playing a game worthwhile. Plus, you had to blink normally sometimes, so it wasn't as if you could play a one button game anyway. This was his first ever, and aside from what he'd read in the manual, he knew next to nothing.

"What are single player games like?" He'd seen them from TV and commercials, but they never really showed people playing them.

The patamon on his shoulders appeared to have passed out, snoozing lightly against Noir's neck. Noir was fine with that - the whole thing was a bit overwhelming even without a partner talking. He was used to talking to one person, and one person only. Any more was a bit... overwhelming.

"I think we can do anything now. The game said it's 'open ended', so there's no one task you have to do. You don't have to save the world or anything."

Mai tried to explain it to him, as Hyokomon chattered away to the sleeping Patamon, "So, did you wait long for your partner as well?" Mai paused, as he heard what the bird had to say. They waited for them? Weren't they created when he had chosen which Digimon to be his partner? What happened to the rest of them? He wondered if they were condemned or they found another partner. He continued speaking to Noirtier. "Well, it's when you're all alone and you do tasks, one by one, to do something -- perhaps save a person, or maybe save the world." He grinned. "Dramatic, huh? My favorite has got to be Final Fantasy VIII." He listened to the boy's description of this game and he nodded. "Well, I guess it's open-ended, but I thought they would be more to do, like quests. Isn't that how we make friends?" He bit his lip, unsure if Noirtier would consider them as friends as of now. Sure, they had just met, but going to meet their partners together for the first time -- didn't that mean something? He looked at the crowd in Asuka City as they walked. There must be something magical here; everyone seemed to have someone and no one was alone. He looked at Hyokomon.
