FOLLOW MY PLAN INSTEAD A child Digimon stood no chance against a perfect Digimon. Not alone. Even together, their techniques and attacks might not be strong enough. They had to find a weakness. They had to find something in their surroundings that could help take him out if none of their own attacks succeeded. First thing to note was the towers. It would take a lot of perfect timing, but if they could break them, they might be able to crush him underneath one. This could possibly render him immobile for a short period of time, if they were lucky. Second idea was the amount of holes in the floor. They were few, but they existed. Umbra wasn't sure if they were large enough for the mummy to fall through. If they could get his leg to slip through one, he might be stuck. Maybe long enough to break a tower over his head. This was the best idea he had.
"Time to prove to me that there's a reason why they gave you, of all the Digimon, to me. Use the surroundings," Umbra whispered with a teasing smirk, a hand against the back of Keramon's head, having leaned in to whisper beside where he assumed his ear would be. He pulled back though, standing up tall and retreating to the path.
This was Keramon's battle, wasn't it? No one told him that the tamers were supposed to participate. What were they supposed to do? Smack the mummy to its grave? He'd call out to Keramon's flaws, yell orders at him and make him fix his mistakes. Umbra wasn't going to lose this. He would win this himself if the others didn't show up. If they snooze, they lose because Umbra and Keramon were already starting.
The Keramon shot through the air toward the Mummymon, keeping low to the ground in hopes of easily being able to evade attacks and kick off the ground when needed to jump out of danger. It did this as it got closer to the mummy, all twelve legs hitting the ground, pending at the knees, and shooting up into the air. "Crazy... Smoke!" Keramon cackled, it's mouth snapping open to erupt with a thick, black smog, starting to fill the air.
Keramon made sure that the smoke was chest and head level to the Mummymon for a reason. This way, when Keramon dropped back to the floor, he could see any feet in the clear view on the ground. Everyone knew that smoke rises, so he hoped that meant the floor would stay clear. By blinding the Mummymon, Keramon hoped to lead the monster toward the holes he couldn't see. Mummymon had no wings or wind attacks, did it? Clearing the smoke from his eyes couldn't be that easy for him.
Umbra, unfortunately, paid little attention yet to what his Digimon was doing. He'd already observed the area. He didn't see anything else they could use to slow their enemy down. But what if the holes and towers didn't work? What if they needed a back up plan? Mummymon was a virus. He assumed Keramon, too, was also a virus. Vaccine was strong against Viruses and Viruses were strong against Data. Would either of the other two meant to join this battle have Vaccine Digimon to throw into the fray? Umbra had hope so, if they even decided to show up.
